U.S. Senate Democrats will need some Republican help [RINO Hall of Shame]

Jan 3 (Reuters) - With a close Minnesota race still undecided, Democrats will hold no more than 59 seats in the new 100-member U.S. Senate that convenes on Jan. 6.

That means Democrats will need the help of at least a few Republicans to hit the 60 votes required to clear procedural roadblocks known as filibusters.

Voinovich is running again in 2010. I’ve already started getting “look what I’ve done for you” emails and mailings. Up till this year I got nothing, even when I emailed him. Maybe Ken Blackwell will run for his seat.

The list of RINO turncoats:

  1. John McCain (AZ)
  2. Susan Collins (ME)
  3. Olympia Snowe (ME)
  4. Arlen Specter (PA)
  5. George Voinovich (OH)
  6. Lindsey Graham (SC)
Sorry, I had to make an addition. I know it would really hurt Lindsey to be left off such a prestigious list. And of course it goes without saying that he'd like to be closer to Juan in the list. Too bad, so sad.

Come to think of it, Lindsey may even sue ROOOOOOOOTERS for leaving him out of the article. Poor lil’ RINO. Just breaks my heart.

Which means they have 64 votes.
I haven't checked your math. But have you factored in the "vacant" Dem seats:

I’m not convinced that all of the Senate Democrats are prepared to vote in lockstep with DelanObama, especially if it means endorsing some of the wack-a-doo, Left-Coast, Nancy Pelosi Liberal base-pleasing ideas that are bound to emerge from the House of Representatives in the form of a “stimulus” package.

Much of what U.S. House Liberals want, differs from what the Governors want, which differs yet again from what the US Mayors want, which is all a lot different than what MoveOn, Code Pinko, and the rest of the Far Left splinter groups want...

Did I mention the crowd who wants nothing more than to prosecute Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld for War Crimes, and will be demanding exactly that more and more vocally as time marches on??

We’ll see who ends up voting for what, but I don’t believe that much is going to emerge from this crew much before Mother’s Day, if then...

A list that will, no doubt, grow much longer. So sad.

Isn’t there a Sen. Chuck Hagel, Nebraska, that might qualify, at least marginally?

The only reason they want help is that they want to be able to blame their own failures on the GOP.

Yeah, Hagle should be on the list and a couple of others as well. rabscuttle’s original list came from the article.

As much as I hate the idea of supporting RINOs, it's important that we recognize that some of them do help out in some tough times. For example, Specter has come through and helped get Alito and Roberts on the SCOTUS.

It's important to praise when they do something right, and then savagely destroy them when they do something wrong. :-)

And that goes for conservative Dems, too.

I was there and on that first morning when the armed federal agents took the headgates back, I snapped this picture as knelt down to pray with them.
