Shin Bet: Hamas feel existential threat
Ynet ^

Defense establishment officials expresse cautious optimism on the ninth day of the Israel Defense Forces' Operation Cast Lead in light of the progress made at sea, in the air, and as of Saturday evening – on the ground.

"There are first signs that Hamas is toning down its views in regards to a possible ceasefire," Shin Bet Director Avi Diskin told the political echelon on Sunday.

"Hamas is willing to reach an agreement," the Shin Bet chief told the ministers, but warned that the rocket fire was expected to continue.

According to Diskin, "The Hamas leadership abroad is stressed, working to obtain a ceasefire and disappointed by the Arab countries failing to stand by its side. The situation of the leadership in Gaza is similar. A real threat exists today on the Hamas enterprise in the Gaza Strip. The leaderships in Gaza and abroad feel an existential threat."

IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi said that more than 400 Palestinians had been killed in the operation so far, most of them Hamas men. "Not much is left from the Hamas government," he said.

Ashkenazi added that the fighting was tough and was mainly carried out from close range. "I spoke to the brigade and regiment commanders on the ground, and I'm encouraged by their determination and willingness to complete the mission.

"Hamas prefers fighting in constructed area. The rocket fire till now is lower than expected, but Hamas still has the ability to fire rockets. The activity cannot stop the rocket fire, and we expect it to continue."

Israel should insist on the unconditional surrender of Hamas, to be accompained with its total and complete dissolution.

The Pali's are just useful idiots. Muslims the world over will wail about Israel, yet no Muslims lift a finger to help them better themselves. They do help finance the Pali's terror efforts though. Other than that, they might as well be called " undesirable".

There is absolutely no reason to have a cease fire with the Palestinians. They won’t honor it. They NEVER do.

Drive them into Egypt and let them deal with the Palis.

One of my idiot leftist co-workers (I work in NYC) went to "the demonstration" last week and came back all aflutter with pali-propaganda. I think this week I'm going to mention to him this fact that NON of the Arab states are doing ANYTHING to help the Hamas @ssholes. I'm going to challenge him to explain that.

“Drive them into Egypt and let them deal with the Palis.”

The Egyptians don’t want them, either. Drive them into the Mediterranean, and ‘let them sleep with the fishes.’

Don't believe a word they say.

Ceasefire = Re-arm to Hamas, and other raghead terrorists.

KILL THEM ALL.

Go, IDF!, Go, Israel!

I was over on IDF site on Face Book last night and they are asking for our help. They said that Israel has never been good at Public Relations, and they are specifically asking that we send out far and wide the video, "Children of Hamas." Click Here

Another video about Sderot that is very powerful is: "15 Seconds" (ready or not)Click Here

A FANTASTIC video to watch is: "The Big Lie and the True History of Palestine" Click Here

Another recommended video that I haven't had time to watch yet is "Pallywood" Click Here

Let's all try to help IDF by honoring their request by becoming their PR agents!

Please Ping your Peeps to this message. Thank you all so very much!

He’ll just say that the Arab states do nothing due to their American-lackey governments... and then probably go on to rant about the Zionist Occupied Government (ZOG) of America.

In other words, saying that the Jews control America who controls the world.

The Arabs don’t really want the Israel/Palestinian problem to be solved.

Israel should let Fatah go into Gaza and "take care of business". That way the Fatah crooks can get the "aid" dollars, with the understanding that if rockets resume, they can be removed too.

The problem is that I think the Arab aid is conditional upon the Palis attacking Israel.

probably

why waste my time, right?

I have a policy of limiting my political discussions to global warming and I do that by concentrating on the science (or lack thereof) and not the politics.
