When I was attached to 1st Tanks, I lived in a Quonset hut on Las Pulgas Road about 600 meters towards the beach from the 11th Mar. Survey Section shed. That was back in the mid 1950's. The Huts have long since been torn down. Today two 2 story barracks occupy that site.
