Program Will Expand to Three Hours in February With Market Clearance in New York, LA, Chicago,
San Francisco, Dallas, Detroit and Washington, DC
DALLAS (Jan. 5, 2009) - ABC Radio Networks announced today that is has signed Mark Levin, one of the leading talk personalities in the country, to a new multi-year syndication agreement. The Mark Levin Show is approaching its three-year anniversary with the network and in that time has rapidly grown to more than 175 affiliates with millions of listeners and become a recognized ratings leader. The program airs in 9 of the top 10 and 24 of the top 25 markets.
Mark is one of the most talented and respected broadcasters in our industry and has won over a legion of loyal radio listeners, said Jim Robinson, President of ABC Radio Networks. He is an essential driver of our news/talk portfolio and we are proud to remain Marks partner in delivering such compelling programming.
On February 2, The Mark Levin Show will expand from two hours to include an available third hour of content. Affiliates already committed to carrying the additional hour include WABC New York; KABC Los Angeles; WLS Chicago; KSFO San Francisco; WBAP Dallas; WJR Detroit; and WMAL Washington, DC. More stations are expected to option the third hour once the opportunity is made available.
Since we launched the show in national syndication, weve developed relationships with some truly outstanding stations and advertisers along the way and Im so grateful to work with all of them, said Levin. The next few years could determine what kind of nation America will be for generations to come. I intend to be here defending the Constitution and continuing the dialogue with my wonderful audience.
Levin is one of the countrys most noted conservative voices and a best-selling author. He served as a top adviser to several members of President Ronald Reagans cabinet,
including his post as Chief of Staff to the Attorney General. In 2001, the American Conservative Union named Levin the recipient of the prestigious Ronald Reagan Award. He currently practices law in Washington, DC and heads the distinguished Landmark Legal Foundation. His radio program consistently offers an entertaining and thought-provoking discussion on the newsmakers of the day.

Ping and Congrats!
This is news. KSFO just announced their new lineup starting today. Mark Levin was interviewed this morning by Brian Sussman, who is expecting to move his show to the 5:00PM-7:00PM timeslot, immediately after Levin (who airs from 3:00PM to 5:00PM).
If KSFO is committed to airing the third hour, that's news to Sussman. He was excited about reaching into the earlier drive-time, too. Easy come, easy go?

Thank me!
(/just kidding)
Congrats to Mr. Levin! I listen in the car when I pick up our boys from school. They LOVE listening to him, and we appreciate the education they receive from him while also being entertained. :-) I think they learn more in 20 minutes of listening to Mark Levin than they learn all day in school. lol
We all love you. God bless you and your family.
His voice and temperament annoy me, and he puts pets above humans and believes they have actual rights.
Not exactly what I enjoy listening to, but if it floats your boat, go for it.
A lot of the rest of what he stands for is conservative.
AWRIGHT!!
The Great One is probably my favorite radio voice
and possibly the smartest single individual to be heard on the radio in this country.
Congrats to Mark Levin on his new contract.
woohoo!
PING you list!!
Woo-hoo!!
Jim, nice to know you wear two hats!! (grin)
Bravo and Congrats on the new Contract... move over Limbaugh?? whenever HE’s ready..
A good piece of news on an otherwise bleak, seemingly hopeless day. Nice to have Levin as a voice out there. Congratulations to Mark!
Whoo Hoo!
Chat? Show the great one a bit of respect. Should be posted in News/Activism, IMO.
source that, please
Congrats to the Great One! This is very good news.
Levin is replacing Savage on KKOH here in Reno!
I heard it, straight from his mouth, when he was challenged by a listener about his diatribe concerning the dog he lost, for which he had just written a book. Levin went spastic on the guy when he suggested dogs didn’t have rights and hung up on the caller.
Levin is an animal rightist.
Awesome!!! Congrats Mark!
Call him and confront him with that. I double dog dare ya!
I am dancing a jig right now1!!
REALLY, I AM!!!!
WOOHOO!!
Whooooo Hoooooo!!!!! Congratulations Mark!! We need you now more than ever.
**Levin is an animal rightist.**
I disagree but I’ll give it to you, for the moment.
Ok, that’s ONE thing you disagree with... that’s big enough to throw him under the BUS??
Yes, the voice is “DISTINCT”.. radio would be BORING if everyone sounded the same.
I TRIPLE DOG DARE YOU!!!
Mark Levin is probably the most intelligent, from the heart lover of the conservative movement in this country. When I think of geniune, I think of Mark first!!!
And another thing. Mark doesn’t put party in front of principle, like so many so called Republicans do!!! Keep this in mind while we wait for your phone call on his show.
CONGRATULATIONS MARK!!!
Thank me very much!
That's a beautiful thing right there.
I’ve been listening to him for a while and I’ve never heard him say things that would put him in the camp of what people typically think of as “an animal rightist”, such as an old woman I know who tried to hire a high school kid to beat up an elementary school boy for bugging the squirrels around her place.
Aren't you glad you don't live in Detroit?
America desperately needs that extra hour of Levin.
Got Blender? ;-)
In women's underware? Yes or no!
I wish they would replace the faux-conservative Weiner with the real deal Levin here in Austin. They play Levin, but not in his live timeslot.
My 10 & 12 year old love Mark, too. Whenever we’re in the car around the time he’s broadcast here, my kiddos remind me, “Hey Mommy, Mark Levin is on!” My 12 year old especially has learned so much about politics from Mark. She already understands how the msm is biased and she is quick to point it out to us when she sees it. Whenever he lets something slip from his tongue - words like “stupid,” “jackass,”and the like, my younger one yells out “lalalalala” to let me know he just said (what’s considered in our house with the kids) a bad word.
They like it when he yells, “Get off the phone you big dope!” because he sounds just like their grandfather in N.J.! Lol!
I've never heard Levin say that animals have "rights."
I believe you're wrong in your claim. Levin is Constitutional scholar and understands the concept of "rights" --as distinguished from, say, our moral obligations (such as our obligation to treat animals kindly).
As for putting "pets above humans," a lot of us do that, heh. (Well, I'm half kidding on that, but only half - would you put a Hamas murderer above your dog? I wouldn't.)
Mark Levin is solidly pro-life, so if you're trying to imply that he doesn't care about human children, then you're wrong.
Heck, Hannity is halfway between Levin and Rush, and I can handle him better, but only if nothing else is on.
Rush defines a great listening experience. He has a pleasant voice, is truly funny, and doesn't shout/whine your ear off, all while espousing conservative points quite well. He has a good eye for stand-ins on his show, too.
As for his animal rights position, I can only imagine he takes anything personally in regards to pets after his experience with “Sprite.” It's happened to others who would otherwise be called “conservative.” I can handle that, although it is a dangerous position for people who pride themselves on being intellectually consistent.
We have a responsibility to be good stewards, and that includes not abusing animals. However, they certainly don’t have rights. I am sure Levin doesn’t think so either.
Apparently you haven't noticed the pattern?
Congrats to TGO! :) =^..^=
I don’t know much of anything about Levin and have never listened to his show — but I would just point out that there is a big difference between saying animals have basic rights not to be abused and maltreated, and putting them “above humans” etc.
I don’t know where Levin comes down on it, but just b/c he thinks dogs may have a “right” not to be horribly mistreated (and certain forms of animal abuse are criminal acts in many locales around the country) is not the same as saying dogs have rights “above humans”......
I know he wrote a touching book about a dog he had for a time, befriending him, then having passed on.
Hi TOL! Happy 2009! Time to renovate the Lounge and make it BIGGER!
And, no, he is NOT an animal rights activist, lol.
Good grief, obviously some just do not listen.
