The union representing state troopers has backed off allegations that a drug investigation of Sherry Johnston was slowed down last fall to shield the national candidacy of Gov. Sarah Palin.

An inquiry Monday by officials for the Public Safety Employees Association concluded that investigators did not delay a search warrant for political reasons, said union president Rob Cox. Charges of political meddling erupted last week because of misunderstandings between investigators working on the case and senior state public safety officials, Cox said.

Negative stories about Palin hits the presses so fast. No need to fact check.

If there was any questions about Palins birth certificate, there would be cries on the front page of every major newspaper and there would have been Congressional hearings on the matter.

They got their day in the msm—they can now slink quietly away and the msm will NEVER apologize or backtrack.

This is a no win situation. Even if the story was true, any arrest made while Palin had been running would have been called poltical and tainted. The arrest was totally unconnected to Palin, and short of not arresting her at all I don’t see how it could have been done better.

Oh well, it was good for one news cycle from libs eager to report anything to taint Gov. Palin’s 2012 run.

Troopers protecting their own.

Sarah tried to have her drunken idiot brother in law fired from the force and now she faces the wrath of the fraternity. Instead of cleansing themselves of this dog, they go into protection mode.

I sure hope Sarah doesn’t drive for they are surely laying for her on the roads of Alaska.

It’s interesting how the left has championed Trooper Wooten, the very first time I’ve seen the left come to the defense of a cop, usually they champion cop killers. Now, the left is once again siding with cop union. Will wonders never cease, next thing you know they’ll be condemning cop killers instead of making heroes out of them. Yeah, right, the only reason they are doing it is because it is part of their attack on Gov. Palin.

Certainly Pawlenty won't be on anyone’s short list for candidates for 2012 presidential election.

Mostly laffing.

Sara and the Troopers have been at loggerheds from Day 1 of her term.

She has cut their budget for the last two years and is now pressing for all disciplinary actions be reported - that is to say, out in the open.

This “cover your Brother Officers butt” seems to be a National problems, this one just got a bit more exposure.

Final note - Mookie (Walt the Mon-i-gain) is running for mayor of Anchorage. I cannot wait for the ads.
