I don’t know what the problem is here. This isn’t just any old smog; it’s made-in-Vermont smog! Doesn’t that mean it’s good? I thought that to airy-fairy greeny weeny types, “made in Vermont” means wonderful.
What really sucks is in many areas of life we don’t have a non-green choice. Like my car gets far better millage then I care for it to make. So I perform anti-environmental offsets. For example with each fill up I go through the McDonalds drive through and eat a couple of value meals while the car idles (producing burgers causes cow farts that promote global warming). I then drive down the road and throw my garbage into pristine rivers and try to run down rabbits or squirrels or something. It makes me feel better about my contribution.
