On his program on Monday evening, CNN anchor Lou Dobbs criticized the proponents of the theory of manmade global warming in response to a report by correspondent Ines Ferre about the latest climate data: [T]hey bring this thing to a personal belief system. Its almost a religion, without any question... He went on to criticize the crowding out of facts and objective assessment of those facts...theres such selective choices of data as one discusses and tries to understand the reality of the issues that make up global warming.
Dobbs set the tone early as he introduced Ferres report, which began 41 minutes into the 7 pm Eastern hour of the CNN program: The issue of global warming is, of course, a controversial and divisive topic, and it has been such for some time....Either way, somebody gets offended. Well, tonight, relax, we have another report for you, and all of who you believe in global warming will be challenged, and the facts, if youre not interested in the facts, you shouldn't pay attention, as Ines Ferre reports.

Even if there is some merit too it, Global Warming and Environmentalism in general, has become the Secular Religion of this decade.
As a fairly secular type myself, I often compare the coverage and talk about GW and Environmentalism, and see so many paralells with religion. I mention these to my more liberal friends, and they can't help but to agree to a certain extent.

We need a short-hand derogatory term for the global warming frauds. How about “green earthers”? Kind of a take-off on “flat earthers.” Thoughts?

If anyone should have his own drive time (or noon Eastern Time) talk show, it is Lou Dobbs. He'd be a welcome antidote to all the "free trade ueber alles" rhetoric we get from the usual "conservative" yakmeisters.

What did Lou Dobbs expect from divinity school dropout, Al Gore, and the nitwits who grasp on to every word he says like its gospel?
Fact is Richard Lindzen, MIT, proved there is no such thing as global warming back in early 2004. Where has Lou Dobbs been?
It's time for news folks to get back to basic investigative reporting --> hint: follow the money...

Excuse the blatant vanity reply, but I'm so disgusted with the liberals' global warming scam that I have created a web site dedicated to archiving counter points of view that rarely get heard or seen in main stream media.

The belief in Global Warming is but one aspect of the “Secular Humanist” religion which is the spiritual arm of supposedly “godless” Socialist-Communists.
They have bumped head-on into the Islamic form of evil worship, and they think they may be able to do business.
