Well, my guess is the liberal Jews are not at all religious. Maybe some go thru the motions...but certainly don't live or speak about a religious life. This had been my experience with friends and family (my SIL) for years.

Especially Hollywood Jews, for example just this past fall...Sandra Bernhard...who claims to be a Jew...threatened Gov Palin..told her not to come to NY or Sandra would get her black guy friends to rape Palin.

Liberal Jews are the worst bigots/haters I have ever met, and for absolutely no reason, just because of an individual's class, station in life, or birthplace.

Sandra Bernhard issued a blistering warning to Sarah Palin during a performance of her new one-woman show.

The Republican V.P. nom would be “gang-raped by my big black brothers” if she enters Manhattan, Bernhard said. Palin is said to be making a campaign stop in New York next week.

It always amazes me how the typical liberal Jew really has no connection to the Jews living in Israel.

It really shouldn't. History is full of examples of (political) minorities who bolt for the exits when they disagree with the governing/ruling majority -- the Cuban-exile community in Florida, for example. It must have been pretty tough founding the state of Israel. It's interesting watching (many) American Jews frowning upon the actions of their Israeli cousins -- they have that luxury.
