On today's CNN Newsroom, anchor Kyra Phillips let viewers know exactly what she thinks of Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, better known as Joe the Plumber. On the 2:00 PM (ET) segment she teased the story:
PHILLIPS: Oh, Lord, Joe The Plumber's got a new gig. It's got nothing to do with the pipes, it's got everything to do with Gaza.
And later again:
PHILLIPS: You've seen the last of this guy? Not. Now Joe The Plumber wants to flush out the truth as a war correspondent. I know, there are just no words. Stay here for details on his Middle East trip.
Minutes later she reported:
Hey, Joe, what do you know? No, seriously, what do you know? Since that whole plumbing thing didn't work out, I mean. Now, Joe Wurzelbacher is decamping to the Middle East. That's right, the plumber slash author slash singer.
His latest career gambit? War correspondent. He's going spend ten days in Israel reporting for the conservative Web site pjtv.com. And he says he hopes to air Israelis' views on the Gaza offensive. Lord, help us.

She’s an insult to female dogs.
Sounds like somebody’s askeered of a little competition.
Joe will probably be a better war correspondent than 90% of them
That Kyra. She’s funny. With all the plumbing related quips. That she didn’t write a damn one of.
Greetings Comrade, welcome to the USSA!
We have 1 TRILLION dollar deficit and POTUS MUZZIE HUSSEIN.
More Vodka please.
She’s just another CBS 2 has been that we threw in trash. Kyra, Rick Sanchez, Keith Olbermann, all those rejects started here, and were AWFUL
“Catty” is the only polite term I can think of to describe this. What’s the matter with Joe the Plumber leveraging his new-and-unwanted fame into something a little more exciting than plumbing?
I wonder how many years she spent in “college” learning how to read a teleprompter. I guess teleprompter reader is a good gig if you can get it.
Where’s that piccie of SENATOR Al Franken in Depends...?
Bingo. Joe’s a natural speaker and he looks great on camera. The folks with the journalism degrees are vexed that a mere tradesman can ask smarter and more courageous questions than they can. He exposes them for the phonies they are.

I can imagine Joe’s expletive two-word comment response.

A simpler version of "Where's Waldo?" for CNN viewers - "Where's Switzerland?"
She may be a little more upset that ole Joe gets better looking women than she does.
Who knows.
Kyra, honey....better put some ice on that.
Maybe she’s better in bed than working on television.
She’s got to be good at something, because she sure isn’t good at being a news anchor, and that is just reading a prompter.
That’s what she said LOL
Seriously I doubt even Joe the Plumber would want to get down there and check the pipes
Mwaaaahaaaahahahaha! That is freakin’ hilarious! Editors must have not only smoked pot in college but also drank the bong water...LOL!
Yet when any brainless Hollywood libtard goes, they fawn all over him/her...
Love it!
Shut up Krya, you bitch. I think Joe the plumber isn't going to be caught tinkling with his mike on.
And he isn't even a learned professional reporter.
It has nothing to do with this thread, but since you asked:
And another
Sounds like *someone* can’t deal with a manly man.
> A simpler version of “Where’s Waldo?” for CNN viewers - “Where’s Switzerland?”
(BIG GRIN!!) Tee-hee-hee! That’s HELL-FUNNY! ‘Strewth! How embarrassing for the Swiss — they’re badly lost. CNN says so!
Hope so! LOL
The professional outragists that call themselves reporters are so dumb.
I have relatives in MN and the next time I travel to that stupid state, I am going to make copies of that picture, the one with the diaper, and tape it in every restroom, store, restaurant, etc. I happen to go into.
Can’t say I saw much point to his book (except to trade on his name recognition to make him money), but he just might be a good reporter. After all, he came to the national stage because he asked Obama a question neither Obama nor the mainstream media wanted addressed—something most reporters don’t do enough of.
Yep, that’s our girl.
That pic was taken a few makeovers ago, I’d guess.
...she’s just pissed cause he’ll probably do a better job than “real” reporters....
Disgusting. Is Kyra Phillips supposed to be an “objective” journalist, or is she CNN’s version of Rachel Maddow? Since I rarely watch CNN, I have no idea who she is...
If that's the case then put this one up by its side:
Not everyone can be as professional as Kyra (see above link)
I’m happy Joe got a break out of this whole business.
As for Kyra, well remember what Kathy Griffin said on New Years eve about how she don’t come down to your work and ...
Oh yeah. Even by CNN standards Kyra Phillips is a dim bulb.
During President Bush's Katrina press conference, CNN's Kyra Phillips took a bathroom break and didn't realize that her mic was on.
While Bush attempted to reassure people that the federal government will be ready if another natural disaster happens, CNN watchers got to listen to Phillips in the bathroom zipping up and chatting about her brother and "control freak" sister-in-law.
Here is a rough transcript courtesy of Wonkette:
Highlights: The clip starts with what sounds like ASSHOLES. Then Kyra talks about, presumably, a boy of some sort: No ego you dont understand., just a really passionate, compassionate human being. And they exist! They do exist. Theyre hard to find
COWORKER: Yep.
KYRA: But they are out there.
Thankfully, Mom seems to approve (good vibe)
Then, Kyra again: Of course brothers hafta be, you know, protective. [ZIP] Except for mine. I gotta be protective of him. Ugh, yeah. Hes married, three kids, but his wife is just a control freak.
Then the best part:
WOMAN: Kyra
KYRA: Yeah baby
WOMAN: Your mic is on.
ANCHOR: All right, weve been listening in to
CNN has really been on their game lately. Last week, Wolf Blitzer interviewed the wrong person on live TV.
UPDATE: CNN apologizes.
UPDATE 2: Kyra Phillips appeared on the Late Show to deliver her Top Ten excuses for going to the bathroom with her mic on. You can view the video here.
I ripped out cable on the day Clinton was acquitted and haven’t looked back.
This’ll scare ya...go to the CNN story and read the comments left by their fanatically loony left readers about Joe the Plumber. This kind of vitriolic hatred directed towards a common citizen, who wasn’t even running for office, seems....weird. What’s with these people and their hatred of Joe? All he did was ask a direct question of the candidate. Not even a hardball. Man, talk about p******.

I'm not sure if all would be right with the world. But, his name would definitely Rachel Maddow and have an hour of programming on MSNBC.
sHE Can’t Understand Normal Thinking; so it would seem.
It’s interesting that there seems to be no attempt to even attempt at hiding the b bias anymore.
I flipped the dial on the newshour the other day and heard that ass Schuster make a sidebar comment at the end of a news story about Scooter being arrested.
How does anyone even feign to be doing news with this kind of editorializing I don’t know.
MSLSD indeed.
It seems the glue is coming off the media as they realize the American people not only do not hold them in esteem, but they don’t really care about them either. The luster of being “in” is not holding up anymore with their jobs at risk just like other Americans.
