The parallels are frighteningly uncanny. Was rand a fortune-teller? NO. She had an understanding of the mindset, motivations, and methods by which the looters and moochers operate. A sizeable portion of the electorate will indeed see Jan 20 as a sunrise. However, they forget that they will need those of us who produce and perform to make that sunrise and sunlight possible. What they are not counting on is that another (HOPEFULLY) sizeable portion of the electorate may not agree to provide for them. READ THE BOOK IF YOU HAVE NOT.

A prime example of how liberals think.
Yesterday I attended a meeting of the state executive board of a woman’s group of which I am a member. Two things happened which caused me to smirk.
First, when it was pointed out that the bank would no longer provide canceled checks for free, they voted to go ahead and pay the fees, after saying it is only a couple dollars a month.
Then, when the state convention was discussed, it was brought up by the president that the costs of registration and meals would have to be raised to compensate for the higher costs for these things at the hotel where it is being held. Now, this executive board makes money on the convention and then uses that revenue to operate the rest of the year; including paying those couple of dollars a month in bank fees.
The women were adamantly opposed to having their costs raised, whining that everything is already so bad that this would be unfair burden to them. It was suggested that some of the chapters of this organization have more money than others and perhaps, those chapters could ante up a little more to help out the less fortunate ones. Of course, I belong to one of the “rich” chapters and we work our butts off to raise the money we have and to increase our membership. That was not the point for these women though. It was enough that we have more money.
A perfect example of liberal thinking. Eh, it’s only a couple of bucks more for the government to pay, and they can always get it from the rich.

This person is a very good friend though, and fortunately we have many other things in common so usually we don’t dream of discussing politics with each other. I believe some things transcend politics, or should.

What is going to be next? some SS type troops coming to our paid for homes telling us we are just two retired Marines and we don’t need our 2500 sqfth house..get out in 30 days so we can put a family of 4 or 6 in this 3 bedroom house? You can live nicely in a 500sqft former garage?
He can try to force his plans on people but even the dolts who voted this maggot into office will begin to rebel and when they do, there will be mass rebellion..it could get ugly. I dare say it has been predicted that this nation will nearly come to it’s knees but in the end survive but not before hell breaks loose.

The really great thing for Marxism is that there is no set definition of anything beyond the evil of individuality so that WHAT is in service of the greater good can be diametrically opposed between two days. Marxism is a great system for a very few people.

Barry is not going to sacrifice one cent. Soon he will be ensconced in the WH and in about 3 years time, or less, will declare himself the President For Life of the United Socialist States of America or The Communist States of America. Like all dictators, he will love on in luxury and the rest of us will be broken under his boot until we have something akin to the French Revolution.
I think this is the ultimate goal...we don’t work...or those of us who have and even manage to save some, will be taxed until we don’t have that..then The Dear Leader will dole out x amount to us..so much per person in the household. Only question is...the treasury will soon run out of money and when no one is left who has funds to be taxed....where will all this money come from then? Oh yeah..the printing press.
I agree, but there are 2 problems with that:
1) I had a different context in mind,
2) The MSM and the sheeple won’t recognize the comedy.
