(CNN) Meghan McCain has drawn headlines for her unfiltered take on the presidential campaign, but theres one topic the outspoken daughter of last years Republican presidential nominee wont touch: her fathers running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
In an interview with the Monday Morning Clacker blog, McCain discussed her love for burlesque queen Dita Von Teese, calling her spectacular everything she does is genius. Her book still sits on my coffee table.
She also said she was inspired by Bikers For McCain and want[s] to go back to Sturgis next year and do bike week right.
But she wouldnt be drawn into any assessment of Arizona Sen. John McCains vice presidential pick. Sarah Palin is the only part of the campaign that I wont comment on publicly, she said.

Remember....Meghan’s daddy is trying to “re-invigorate” the Republican party.....he would NOT want Sarah to overshadow HIM!
Looks like the McCains are just without class.
Why be afraid to talk about Palin, the woman who saved McNutcase from losing by 25 million votes instead of seven million?
Why help build up a fellow woman, you know, women’s lib and all?
When John and Cindy went on SNL the Saturday night before the election and trashed themselves like a pair of drunks, I knew then it was all over, and that McCain was never serious about being a candidate.
You know, “Fight with me, Fight WITH me!” and that horsecrap.
Sarah Palin campaigned her heart out.
And Megan’s father was worth none of it.
I saw some interview of her where she said she voted for Skerry in 04...OMG. The entire family is made up of LOSERS.
Thank our Good Lord McLame didn’t win. I can’t stand obummer and will work tirelessly to get him out of office at the first chance but McLame would’ve forever tainted what’s left of the Republican name and the conservative movement.

I joined the Orange County, FL group but they’re all around the country.
Maybe she decided not to criticize her out of some newfound loyalty to Republicans........or maybe she actually likes Sarah but is perceptive enough to know she'll be instantly on the Hoity-Toities' Official Hate List if she says so.
Too late, curth. Juan was already the “...most embarrassing candidate the republican party ever ran.”
If they do not want to take personal responsibility for their loss then blame the GOP for pushing him on the ticket in the first place.
No more mccains clintons bushes or kennedys!
Who cares what mini-me Cindy thinks about Palin.
Dita is not now, or never will be, guilty of any wrong-doing. She is NOT GUILTY!
Meanwhile, Sarah continues to show the way for Alaska by making sound decisions and implementing good ideas. I would like for her to remain AK governor and forget DC Corruptocrats. It would be great to see Alaska sail through this economic implosion and emerge strong and the example to follow.
I’d be more interested in what Mrs. McCain said.
Meghan is a child.
Because Manson is an idiot. I wouldn’t blame Dita if she dumped him.
I see the apple doesn’t rot far from the tree!
What I thought was stupid about the McCain appearance on SNL was Tina Fey being allowed one last opportunity to mock Sarah again and so late in the campaign when voters are making up their minds and after Sarah herself had performed well on her own and disabused many wrongheaded notions regarding her intelligence, competence and humor. And for McCain to allow the sketch to be orchestrated in this manner shows he has little class or that he is completely clueless to the power that TV has to shape the public’s opinion on a public figure.
Perhaps Meghan actually likes Sarah and is very appreciative and she doesn’t want to offend Daddy? Just a thought...
All broadcasters, meaning individuals, programs and entire corporations either by design or chance attract an audience with certain tastes. The tastes of the audience are known and are essential in deciding where where sponsors will run their commercials.
If CNN changed their tune on Palin, a sizable part of their audience would go elsewhere for Palin bashing. Also, the Palin posture fits in with their larger left-leaning strategy, which their audience also relies on.
So I believe CNN’s posture toward various issues is largely based on audience retention. The on-air personalities know what they have to do.
CNN still trolling for anti-Palin stories.
