NEW YORK -- President-elect Barack Obama is on his way to the big screen, thanks to a deal between MSNBC and Screenvision that will put the news channel's inaugural coverage in 27 theaters around the country.
Free tickets are being handed out via MSNBC.com to see the inauguration and parade from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. ET at the 27 theaters run by 11 exhibitor partners in 21 markets. Midday Tuesday isn't necessarily a big movie time, so it helps to fill the theater -- and boost popcorn and soda sales -- at a time when it's not usually busy.
That means that Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews and other MSNBC and NBC personalities will play the big movie screen in addition to the usual MSNBC cable and satellite stream. MSNBC won't be in high-definition until the second quarter, but both the channel and Screenvision say the quality will still be high.
"It'll look great," MSNBC president Phil Griffin said. "We're thrilled about it."

What is this “MSNBC” of which you speak?
Fine and good. Minutes later the public school principle had a speech prepared that included the likes of “we are going through tough times, and an election has just occurred that should show some great changes”. The same individual who stood with his hands by his side during the pledge applauded long and loudly when this “change” was mentioned.
For the clueless, it's all about the individual, not the country or it's Constitution.

You nailed it. Those theaters will be trashed. I wouldn’t go anywhere near those places on Tuesday.
Actually, this is a brilliant business decision on their part.

Hussein Obama worshippers have forsaken God for their liberal false god. Liberals will answer to God for their actions and they will certainly come up lacking. I hope liberals enjoy their eternity in Hades together.
And all the stars will come out to party at the big post-Inaugural bash... except for those few conservatives hunkered down with a bottle of whiskey as I plan to be.
Annie, I recall a rally on the Mall for GLBT shortly after the Clinton’s were elected. One Lesbian “comedienne” said “we finally have a First lady we can bleep”. This was on C-Span and the F-Bomb was aired. Real classy people.

Went to the site and read the comments. Oh at the wailing and gnashing of teeth by those who cannot find a theater close to home!! lol
I liked it. Only one criticism - if possible try to equalize the sound from earlier (with captions) and Sarah’s interview video. They are very far apart so that at first you can’t hear her then after blasting the volume it goes into the “wipeout” line VERY LOUDLY. Otherwise, great first effort.
