I’m still looking for the evidence of a mechanism that carries the CFCs (which are heavier than air at sea level) to the stratosphere.

Here, sunlight breaks down the CFCs into products that react to produce chlorine, which in turn decomposes ozone. Chlorine decomposes into O3?
Atmospheric alchemy.

I suggest the Miskatonic Institute send a team to study this.

Chlorine decomposes the O3......but they never tell you how a chemical, CFC, that is waaaaaay heavier than air gets waaaaay UP there to the stratosphere to do the damage, and just how it got to the Antarctic in the first place.............

Yes. For the children... and the cute little puppies.
But not cats! They’re on their own.

Penguins use A LOT of air conditioning... AND spray deodorant.
Oh, and it’s carried upward into the atmosphere in small balsa-wood boxes hanging by threads from foil helium balloons, launched by whales.
You DID call for silliness, din’t you?

Oh, I’m sorry, I mis-read your first post.
You said it IS getting sillier and siller, not that you wanted it to GET sillier and sillier.
Please ignore my previous post to you.

You might be on to something.
The penguin dances COULD be starting vibrations at frequencies and amplitudes sufficient to MOVE the heavier than air CFCs ALONG the ice and UP the mountain slopes where they are LAUNCHED into the air by the “Mountain Waves” with enough velocity to reach the stratosphere.
Yeah! THAT’S what’s happening.
...little did we know that it was the penguins all along...

All these stupid ‘reports’ show is that we as a species know little to nothing about how mother earth works and survives....and that we are too arrogant and naive to admit it. Instead we have the idiot scientists trying to tell us that “this is the way it is!!”

All recent information indicates that the ozone ‘hole’ is closing, and will be closed completely in 40 years.

But but but... We don’t use CFCs anymore. Didn’t we already ban them and a lot of other nice chemicals that used to keep our shuttle astronauts alive, and prevent malaria, and like that? < whines >
OMGosh! CFCs must be FOREVER! They never go away! Oh, the children and the puppies!
To: Tijeras_Slim
I suggest the Miskatonic Institute send a team to study this. Perhaps onboard their new Tundra Explorer the "Tekeli-Li"? perhaps? Bah! Mountains....Madness I say!
