Also, FTA:

Both Democrats and Republicans say they’re hopeful that Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who pushed fairly aggressive reduction standards during his unsuccessful presidential campaign, will want to play a unifying role between the two parties.

But McCain will bring his own agenda to the table — one that could complicate the fight. He’s been a major proponent of nuclear power, which comes with a formidable price tag, as much as $6 billion per new nuclear plant, according to some estimates.

“If Republicans had identified this problem earlier...”

You mean before we entered a cooling period?

For the love of anything that will keep me sane, I never want to hear from John McCain again.

I’m so sick of Republicans who are “useful idiots” in the movement to restrict our freedom. This global warming hoax is a joke and that Republicans can’t see that makes me nuts.

Climate is what we expect, weather is what we get.

Lazarus Long nailed it many years ago.

This entire article is almost enough to make me lose my breakfast. We're setting record colds throughout much of North America -- and Republicans are griping about the inactivity to address global warming by socialist sleight-of-hand?

At least there is one glimmer of hope in this absurd article:

While a number of Republicans are moving to engage in the climate change fight, the GOP must still grapple with a few, including Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), who challenge the basic premise of man-made warming.

Keep up the grappling, Senator Inhofe!

Why is every other politician a wannabe scientist? Do they think using scientific words makes them sound intelligent?

Earth to the clueless: it doesn’t.

Republican governors, battling climate change in their states and fed up with the GOP’s inability to organize in Washington

RINO's have no need to worry, soon enough there won't be a GOP to be or not be organized.

I just saw another thread, a few days ago, that had this Huntsman character advocating a huge tax increase on smokes, too. With Republicans like this dope, who needs donks?

“If Republicans had identified this problem earlier and tackled it aggressively, we would all be working together.”

On the other hand, if Republicans managed to _correctly identify_ Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming as bad and in fact incorrect science, they’d look a lot smarter than the rest of the politicians.

The Global Warming Hoax has sure taken in many folks. It’s time for the Republican Senators (Inhofe has been doing a good job on this issue) to turn up the heat (pun intended) and roast the various hoaxers on the flame of honest inquiry.

If the solar minimum keeps going, this next winter is going to be _really cold_. 2008-2009 is looking like a doozy in its own right...
