(Glenn Beck) We have Tara Setmayer on the line with us now to talk to us a little bit about Compean and Ramos. We're running out of time.

SETMAYER: snip
nine other members of congress that are pointing out the fact that U.S. attorney Johnny Sutton, who everyone knows oversaw the prosecution of Ramos and Compean, pointing out the fact that even Johnny Sutton in his own words has said (snip) he recognizes that the punishment in this case is extremely high
snip
So we're pleading with the President and with Mr. Sutton to do the right thing: Come out publicly, come out officially, recommend commutation. snip
GLENN: Nobody's asking for pardon.
SETMAYER: That's right. We're asking for commutation because we recognize that a pardon,
snip However, given the politics of the situation, given the relationship between Sutton and the President,
snip
So we've abandoned the pardon effort because I think that the President believes that they did some wrongdoing,

But no one can argue that the punishment of 11 and 12 years in federal prison for what they did is a reasonable punishment. They've already spent two years in solitary confinement. Do they really need to spend another 10?
snip
GLENN: Bye-bye. So there it is. Please, call the White House and just -- and please be respectful. Please. Because they are not going to get anywhere by yelling and screaming at each other or anything. Just please, for humanitarian reasons. They have served their time. It's unreasonable, two years in solitary confinement. And it's only because they wouldn't cave. They didn't see themselves as guilty, the government did and so they kept adding charges and charges and charges. As Tara just said, charges that don't even apply. So please call.

Duncan Hunter tried hard for a commutation when he realized that President Bush would not pardon Ramos and Compean. Let’s keep trying in the last few days of Bush’s presidency.
Thank you Sun.
I appreciate you Duncan Hunter.
“I appreciate you Duncan Hunter.”
Ditto!
There is some kind of a backroom deal involved in this issue, as much as I hate to think so.
If you have the time, please read the entire transcript. It might give you some more insight.
You know what would be funny? If Bush didn’t pardon Romos and Compean and Obama did in his first day in office!
I do not understand President Bush’s intransigence in this matter. Could it be that he knows something that we don’t?
If not, a pardon or commutation is clearly in order. Come on, Mr President! Do the right bloody thing!!! Don’t make this travesty your legacy! Crikey, mate.
‘Strewth!
*DieHard the Hunter*
Jorge won’t pardon the Border Agents.
For some reason the VP’s email isn’t working on my post, but you can get the email here (and other contact info.):

“You know what would be funny? If Bush didnt pardon Romos and Compean and Obama did in his first day in office!”
You never know.
If you read the entire transcript, you might see the reason.
cause it makes Mexico happy,, thats why.
Thank you!
Let’s do it all!
So much corruption leading to Bush is going to come out after he leaves office. I particularly look forward to all the details coming out as to why he stubbornly was in a open borders mode for eight years, while so many were opposed. That, and his little PR trip down there to the borders when the heat has high, for the cameras and not much more, will be one for the history books.
Still, we cannot give up on those guys in prison, while we still have a week left.....
When Jorge dies and is escorted into Hell, his cell will be labeled “Ramos and Compean”.
Wake up George, do the right thing for once. You have been the puppet so many times, think and act for yourself.
And for those of you who think I am a DUmmie plant, I have documented evidence that I have shipped over 6,000 pounds of goodies to the troops in the last four years.
"Welcome to Hell Mr. Sutton..."
