Ditto, re Ramos and Compean.

At his final press conference, Bush virtually wagged his finger at the majority of Americans who adamantly oppose Shamnesty. *He’s* angry? Try ME! I’m absolutely furious with Bush and his arrogant stubborn anger. I’m livid regarding what he tried to do to this country vis a vis the illegal aliens, and twice so for his anger towards *us* who opposed him.

The miscarriage of justice regarding Ramos and Compean is glaring, as these two men and their families continue to needlessly suffer. Will Bush do the right thing and show mercy to these brave men, or will he persist in his perverse stubborness?

They are two different matters, you’re right. But Scooter is free, and Ramos & Compeon are rotting in prison, in danger every day. It’s hard to find the Scooter situation very relevant while the situation continues.

There’s no reason Bush can’t do both.

“There’s no reason Bush can’t do both.”

Agreed. If Bush does not pardon Ramos & Compeon he will forever be an enigma with many of us on this website. Pardon them, and his esteem here will rise significantly.

That's putting my thoughts to words. He pi$$ed on us while going to movies with Ted Kennedy. His farewell speech came on the radio last night and I immediately turned it off. Good riddance.

To those people who want to scold me because, "Bush kept us safe all these years". If any of you are employers, I need a job, and I can do much better than 50% job performance.

About the "... he kept us safe all these years..."
My question is "did he"? We really won't know that until we've defeated the Jihadis, and I mean as completely as the NAZI "werewolves" were... then we'll be able to go through their records and see all that went on.

I'd love to believe otherwise, but I suspect that GWB's stubborness about the border has let hundreds if not a couple of thousand Jihadis setup shop on our soil. From captured documents we've found the Jihadis are targeting our porus border because it makes it easy.

Yes, yes, "thousand" seems an exaggeration, but look at the magnitude of the numbers we're dealing with & remember, when its bad news Gov. under-reports. The pro-amnesty people themselves estimate 20million illegals. What percent is 1k or 2k of that?

Add GWB's need for "bipartisan love" which in this case expressed itself in such PC-ness as ignoring the protests & warnings of danger from other flavors of Islam to cozy up to the most violent form of the religion.

Armed w/WH approval, they've expanded their reach and used WH favor like a club to force compliance from the other sects.

Then there's the "Saudi Express" visa program. When it was exposed, it was temporarily discontinued because of heat from the Citizenry. Now other programs with the same effect have replaced it, and the whole "keep terrorists out" thing had become somewhat of a joke. Unfortunately, that joke's on us.

Anyway, to not go too far afield, I'm of the opinion that if Jihadis can stroll across the border because of actions you've rammed through or executive orders you've signed -- even if the flower doesn't bloom while you're on the job -- its still your fault.

So, I'll wait a few years to credit him with our safety. I think with the changes caused by PEBO, we won't have more than 3yrs before they start to show themselves.

But I pray that those who say "GWB has kept us safe..." are right!

I agree 110% with your post. You know as well as I, that some people on this site state the fact that Bush has kept us safe all these years. Being that they are FRiends, I don’t want to attack anyone for that because, truthfully he has. But his bipolarism with the border infuriates me among other things. I’m glad he’s gone. I realized when I voted for him twice that he was only a speedbump on the road to socialism, but I had hope. God be with us all.
