The President is highlighting Americans that have done great things both in the country and in the ME. He is illustrating the greatness of this nation, which lies in its people.

Liberals, on the other hand, can only condemn, insult, blame and whine. They have nothing to offer this country.

Thank you, retrokitten. I’ll take a handful of those. Oh how we are going to miss President Bush. He will always have this family’s deepest respect and gratitude.

Imagine if he had a fawning obamedia for 8 yrs? He freed 50 million people and kept our Country safe. Those are numbers that can’t be changed by hatred.

Pray for W, America and Our Troops

By contrast to what will become evident in short time, President Bush is a great man. I am proud to have served under him.

Amen

That’s when he came down to Ground Zero, Ashley’s mom died there.

A very graceful and uplifting speech, indeed.

Godspeed, Mr. President and Mrs. Bush.

I’m not going to make it very long without tears.

I can't watch it live. Too painful to see him go. Will follow the live thread, then maybe watch a replay on C-SPAN.

WOW...It's all about my legacy...

Good grief!

Bush's legacy is Obama, a destroyed Republican party, a violent illegal invasion that he aided and abetted and publicly encouraged..Not to mention a smoldering economy at the bottom of a crater..

Face it folks, thats the last “real President” for a while. From now on it will be like reruns of the Fresh Prince TV show.

An amazing man, our President. He kept us safe for 7 years, and he truly did what he did in the best interest of the country.

May God bless him and Laura always.

I will always honor him, and his service to our country.

I've been thinking back to the day members of the D.C. Chapter were invited to the White House in September 2007:

President with Angelwood

My wife sees tears and asks if I’m OK. It’s tough to see him leave.

I will make the trip to Texas to visit that library and say a prayer for Officer Howard and all those who died on 9/11/01.

It would be fun if a bunch of us got together for that.

Don't even bother with that jerk.

Bush has had to deal with gnats for eight years, he can handle it for a few more days.

No, Bush wasn't perfect. I have major disagreements with him. There, I've given the whiney jerks their little pill.

When one looks at the whole of his time in office, one has got to admit that for all his mistakes, he was who and what we needed at this time.

Long after we've forgotten so much about the past eight years, W can sit back and think "Whatever else, after 9/11 I did what I had to do to stop that from happening again."

I would gamble that none of the ducks pecking at Bush tonight will ever come anywhere near that accomplishment.
