This is called the 2nd Amendment. Just because the protein cogs in the government machine don't recognize it doesn't mean that it does not exist.
This right, though unalienable, is violated on a regular basis by aforementioned cogs.
In effect a future CCW registry.
We don’t need no steenking federal law. The right of the people to keep and “BEAR” arms is pretty explicit.
Hi Red. I am a Pa resident as well. Where does the Ammo Accountability Act stand in Pa, do you know?
Agreed, and worth repeating:
Under the 2nd Amendment, you should not need to apply for a CCW.
There was a time when I was for this type of legislation, but after studying the various bills that have come out on this subject in recent years and knowing how politicians act, I am now completly against it.
As many have pointed out, the 2nd Amendment is our carry permit, giving the Feds a CCW data base would be prepping for a future anti-RKBA regulations and/or confiscation, the States is where this belongs and the citizens of the states are the ones that must push back against bans and other unconstitutional regulations.
Just look at the progress made over the years with reciprocity of CCW between the states, so keep the Feds out of it, push back hard in your state and fight for your rights.
Not yet, but give the Feds an opening and that will change very quickly!
Rather than a county or state database, there will be a federal database, which will facilitate massive, wide-spread confiscation.
No thanks
Honestly, I am not sure where that bill stands. Would be surprised to see it passed in PA, but this past year has been a year of surprises.
I can see ACORN between ballot box stuffed elections being sent around to gather up those nasty old guns so we can all be safe.
A Nation gone mad.
Why OTHER than a machine gun, or destructive device? Some 12 gauge shotguns are destructive devices nowadays, you know.
