Thousands were descending on the National Mall in Washington on Sunday afternoon, hours before a free inaugural concert boasting big stars.
It is President-elect Barack Obama's first full day back in the nation's capital. He spent the morning visiting Arlington National Cemetery and will later attend the "We are One: Opening Inaugural Celebration" at the Lincoln Memorial featuring performances by Beyonce, Sheryl Crow, John Legend, Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, U2, will.i.am and Stevie Wonder.
Tears rolled down one woman's face as Obama spoke. "We love you, Obama!" someone yelled out.
"I love you back," Obama answered calmly, eliciting a roar from the crowd.
"You know the country is in the middle of a honeymoon when 6 in 10 Republicans have a positive view of Obama," said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

When Springsteen was at the Obama rally in Cleveland two days before the election (you know, the one where the media reported that there were 80,000 people, but weren’t), I hollard to old Brucie, “Hey, Bruce, spread the wealth!” :-)
Which I believe probably means that he doesn't appear to be quite as disastrous as they first thought he would be. The other 4 out of 10 Republicans demur on this.
Not only are they abusing our military making them appear on stage with these commies, but now they just abused a Bald Eagle. It had no say in the matter, they just dragged him out and displayed him!
