It is a very very pretty area, but has been years since I have been there. The 'tales' I heard as a kid regarding the area sure sounded like mountain men lived there...
Mtn. Grove area is still pretty but not as isolated now with US 60, a dual highway going right near it. I don’t know if there are still mountain men around now but my forbearers would have qualified, as we have 8 generations in So. Missouri.
