Outgoing US President George Bush telephoned President Shimon Peres bidding him farewell on the occasion of the end of Bush's term as president Tuesday.
Peres said to Bush, "If the world had acted against Hitler the way you acted against Saddam Hussein, the lives of millions would have been saved." The president added, "You made a historic contribution to the entire world and to the Jewish people in particular. We will treasure this forever and will never forget it."

Thank God President Bush did not listen to the traitors in Congress. Also thank God that our troops came through to give us victory in Iraq!
Sadly, if only Bush had done to Iran what he did to Iraq. Talk about a bridge too few.
Please. Give him some credit. He freed Iraq from the grip of a tyrant. With respect to Afghanistan, there is still much work to do, but (with the help of Canadians, I’m proud to say), he let the Freedom Genie out of the bottle.

Credit, yes but Iran is the country with the actual nuclear program and that was considered the best reason to attack Iraq, a reason Bush never even claimed outright about Iraq. So leaving Iran unmolested is simply a mistake. Iran is the big Hitler in the Middle East.
People would be saying that Neville Chamberlain and Winston Churchill were wrong about the Hitler, and the NAZIS and there was no German atomic bomb program.

So, armchair general that you are, tell me exactly how President Bush could possibly have invaded Iran given the massive opposition to his invading Iraq? Tell me where the troops would have come from since we would have had zero support from allies? Just two of the very many questions that would need to be answered before GWB could have even dreamed of doing as you suggest.

But most American Jews dont really care about Israel as much as they care about things like Hollywood, abortion, Blackberries and SUVs.
I think that if Iran detonates anuclear weapon in Israel or more so in the USA it will be quite apparent that we should have done what it takes. I have zero BDS. To answer you more specifically, the nuclear facilities needed to be taken out in joint US/Israel airstrikes. If Iran was going to respond with missiles against our fleet and troops and with an attempted blockade of the Gulf, then we will need to combat and defeat the Iranian navy and air forces as well. Whether we would need to invade Iran is another issue, Iran might or might not attack into Iraq, and we have more than enough forces in the region to defeat Iran. Obviously the uSA can defeat Iran if it has to.
And I think we needed to, indeed Obama is about to face exactly this challenge of a nuclear Iran. Fair share has nothing to do with it, this involves our survival. And Iran is a far more credible threat than Iraq was.
I hope I have explained my thinking, which relates to our security, not to Bush Obama or any politician.
