Today is the last full day that George W Bush spent in the White House as President he telephoned current and former world leaders from Oval Office.
Also in his last full day as President he commuted the sentences of two former US border guards facing more than 10 years in prison for shooting a Mexican drug smuggler.
Secretary of Defense Roberts Gates will will sit out Barack Obama's inauguration at an undisclosed location as the "designated successor" in the event of a catastrophe, the White House announced Monday.
Pray for President Bush - Day 3050.

I have trouble getting on the AI thread...I teach Tuesday nights and by the time the show gets over, I’m pooped! My computer, as you know (BTW, how’s that fundraiser for my wireless laptop coming?), is upstairs from the TV so I can’t watch and type. And at that time of night, ain’t no way I’m running up and down the stairs to chit-chat!
I figured somehow there’ll be something going on that we can all get together still and discuss and vent and laugh like we always do. You can’t spend eight years together and just shut it off!
I know it’s late, but can you add me to your ping list? I have so enjoyed the photos you post, and I hope they’ll be more. I didn’t think I’d be this sad.

Ok, great. I am glad it will be shown somewhere. I will be there with pride in my heart and tears running down my face. President Bush is the most misunderstood, and treated worse than any person I know other than Jesus Christ. I guess he is in some of the best company!
I stand strong and always have beside a man who is a wonderful and caring person. We have been blessed by this man, yet some millions have had blinders on their eyes and listened to the media in harming such a wonderful person....
Many should hang their heads in shame!!!
