Benediction at Obama 's inauguration, Rev. Joseph Lowery: 'Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around... when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. Say Amen'...
Couldn’t find the transcript either. Please ping me if you do.

I had another four letter word picked out for the first word, but I doubt they’d let it stay up.
Rev. Lowry; “ pray for that day when black will not be asked to get back, brown can stick around, yellow will be mellow, the red man can get ahead, man, and white will embrace what is right! Amen!”
What kind of Prayer is that?
If your brown stick around? I know that from Jummping rope in elementary school
Pink Pink you stink
Yellow yellow kiss a fellow
White White you are getting married tonight...
brown brown stick around or wear your bridges upside down...
THATS RACIST !!!!
My sentiments exactly. I’m tired of being held up as the only problem in America. Shut up, liberals, you’re act is forty years old.
Whenever I hear that rhyming prayer crap I want to chuck another $100 in the collection plate so my preacher can get himself a new Cadillac.
wear your britches...;)
I’ve got it on video. I record events like this for this very reason. I want to be able to document what the left does. These people are so ignorant, they even take offense at their own words later on, and deny they ever said such things.
Drudge has it up.
I expected the worse and didn’t think anything that happened today could surprise me, but that did. Might as well had Rev. Wright give the benediction.
God save us.

LOL..That’s right!
Thanks!
Yes, his prayer by implication informs us that:
black people are asked to get back
brown people can’t stick around,
yellow people aren’t mellow,
red man can’t get ahead,
and white people don’t embrace what is right.
What lovely public insults on this auspicious day.
Actually, you are quite right. What that man said was truly racist. What a shame.
There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongspartly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs
There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who do not want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.
