President Obama placed the Middle East at the forefront of his first hours in office yesterday as he sought to make good on his promise of “ushering in a new era of peace”. In a flurry of telephone calls from the Oval Office, he reached out to leaders in the region and vowed to engage immediately in pursuit of a permanent Arab-Israeli settlement.
The spokesman for President Abbas revealed that Mr Obama had told the Palestinian leader that their conversation was his first with a foreign statesman since taking office.

Poor Barry, I just know he’s going to spend untold man-hours and countless millions of our dollars trying and trying to “solve” the palestinian problem as Abbas, Assad and Co. gleefully take him to the cleaners.
He’ll end up humiliated and disillusioned like so many before him, wondering why his unique glamor and charisma failed to fell all before him.
Somebody remind me just how it was that these Palestinians are so important in the first place?
Was it because they hijacked a bunch of planes and blew up westerners back in the early seventies?

I totally agree. Sooner or later Barry is going to have to come back down to earth and abandon the ridiculous image the media has created for him.

Yes, Obambi will have to accept reality sooner or later. And so will Israel. It will be called upon to accept that Obama has seriously damaged its ability to defend itself against literally tens of thousands of individual Hitlers.
The West Bank and Gaza are filled with people who consider Israelis dogs or monkeys, have trained since birth to destroy them, and are still training their children today, to think of martyrdom as the most holy thing they can do.
Obama wakes up... as Israel slides beneath the waves for the third time. Mission accomplished, by design or extreme negligence.

Peace could break out at any moment in the Middle-East, that’s any moment the terrorists decide to, which they never will. Until then, you can piss up wind all you want, but you’ll only have yellow fluid on your face for your effort.

Beyond making fun of Obama, calling Abas first was and will be viewed as a mistake. This presidency is barely 24 hours old and we have a screwed up oath, a lame speech, out of control rappers, pissed off 9/11 families and a call to the PLO that writers all over the planet are scribbling about. Man, it’s gotta be tough suddenly being accountable.
Her hat was excusable, her 'singing' wasn't. Mangled "words" (were those even words?) nobody on earth could understand. The song was barely recognizable.

Obama had to thank Abbas for all that illegal campaign money, and the hard work all his terrorist pals did calling Americans at home and telling them to vote obama- or else!
