An ill wind blows in Washington

Update: Troubling Changes in Washington

If there was any doubt about how aggressively the new President would move to implement his agenda on social and family issues, it has vanished on the first full day of his Administration. At 12:01 p.m. Tuesday, literally the instant the transition was official, President Obama’s official White House website was updated to reflect new policies favoring abortion and opposing the traditional definition of marriage. Our Government Affairs team reports that the scope of expected changes on these issues looks to be sweeping. A few of the more troubling potential changes to be enacted in the early stages of this Administration are as follows:

The Democrats have become fascists. Conservatives want less government and don’t look to government to solve every problem. Democrats are always drunk with power and can’t wait to push people around with it.

“. . . you have blood on your hands...”

Precisely. Biblcal description of america in general now. And the remainder of us who sit idly by, just by being idle will have that blood splashed on us. Who is it here in these many posts who uses Edmund Burk’s words for a tag line?

Let none of us be idle any longer. Liberty is at stake and God’s judgment is at hand.

One thing I’ll give Obama, he steps in and on day one he pushes for every agenda issue he wants to achieve. That’s what the Democrats do.

no, that’s what a dictator does. He needs to move fast and furious so that people won’t have notice it all.

I was listening online, yesterday, to a Traditionalist Mass. The priest, as part of his public announcements, told the congregation “Any of you who voted for Obama must go for confession, if not, you cannot receive communion”. Then, as part of his sermon, he said that, when we lose our faith, God punishes us with evil leaders like BARACK OBAMA!!!

As a Catholic, the numbers of Catholics who voted for him sickens me.

I flat out asked a Catholic I know why so many "pro life" Catholics voted for Obama and Democrats in general. His reply? "I have no idea."

I have no idea either. Our bishops were out, in force, warning their flocks about the evils of voting for pro-choice candidates. I know of one Catholic who was all starry-eyed after going to an Obama rally. It was as if he was mezmerized!

Honestly, I can’t offer an explanation either. I avoided watching and listening to Obama during the campaign season. Just couldn’t stand the sight and sound of him. Heck, maybe they were right about him using hypnosis! LOL!! I didn’t fall under the spell!

Actually, if you view the actions of the American Catholic episcopate and majority of the clergy - the decision was clearly made that Obama’s support for ‘social justice’ was far more important and valuable than his aggressive support for abortion - therefore it was a good thing to vote for Obama.

The lack of any significant pre-election effort by pro-life Catholics and clergy to call attention to the importance of protecting the unborn, coupled with sermons about Catholics should not let their ‘fear’ of ‘change’ and the ‘new’cause them to not have ‘hope’ for the future. (HINT: Do you detect any code words there?)

Glad to hear that...not sure why the congregations aren't listening (and that applies to a number of other faiths, as well). Maybe the language needs to be strengthened...the opposite of 'life' is DEATH, not 'choice'. 'Pro-choice' should be replaced with 'pro-death', because that is exactly what it means.

Perhaps that explains why a majority of NH catholics voted for Obama. As for me; G-d says “choose life”, and I will continue to do so.

I’m with you. And, yes I am afraid that is true about NH - that attitude as well as our pedophile-enabling Bishop McCormack’s close friendship with explains the election of aggressively pro-Abortion ‘Catholic’ ex-Governor, now Senator Shaheen.

Is this what the American citizens have voted for? Killing the innocent and granting mercy to the guilty.

She teaches young children and they said grace before lunch and she got chewed out over it.All the parents were OK with it, the children wanted to do it,but the school said no. What is happening in our public school system is really sad. If she was forcing the children to pray, that would be different. The school was the only party that had a problem.

After years and years of my kids in public schools (my youngest is 21) I can say with the facts on my side, that the bottom line problem is the parents. They have accepted mediocrity. Even in your case above, the parents need to protest, march, write letters, do something to bring back sanity to our schools. Only the parents can make the change but they have chosen to sit around and take it!!!

Evidently Team Obama was in communication with state Officials in many states and they are already implementing Plan Obama, and Swag-a-thon Obama. There’s a LOT of new economy coming down — to the early and heavy bribers goes the swag.

I feel like that French guy in that famous photo when the nazis marched into Paris crying like a baby.

My thoughts were of the same image from years ago. You and I were/are feeling alike...
