An ill wind blows in Washington

Update: Troubling Changes in Washington

If there was any doubt about how aggressively the new President would move to implement his agenda on social and family issues, it has vanished on the first full day of his Administration. At 12:01 p.m. Tuesday, literally the instant the transition was official, President Obama’s official White House website was updated to reflect new policies favoring abortion and opposing the traditional definition of marriage. Our Government Affairs team reports that the scope of expected changes on these issues looks to be sweeping. A few of the more troubling potential changes to be enacted in the early stages of this Administration are as follows:

Sad times for our country! I feel like that French guy in that famous photo when the nazis marched into Paris crying like a baby.

This may be Obama’s first mistake. The majority of Americans lean towards being socially conservative on the issues of abortion, gays and guns. Those who thought they were getting the “center left,” (there is no such thing) are in for a surprise. My wife said there were Obama worshipers where she works that were upset about the abortion thing. These people, for the most part, are liberal, apostate Catholics who are brainwashed by the Omedia and pop culture. They don’t have clue one about what they just got themselves into, but they will wake up.

It is becoming very difficult to maintain the illusion that this gov’t is legitimate.

America is becoming a sad reflection of what it once was. I don’t mean to sound unpatriotic, but with abortion, the corruption in government and business, the celebration of homosexuality and the things our society now seems to value, I am ashamed of us. We can talk about politics, leadership and economics etc. but at the bottom of it all is a deep moral crisis, and until we fix that none of the other things will get any better or even matter.Just the opinion of an old country boy, but we need God real bad.

Look up the words “wicked” and “wickedness’ in a good Bible concordance then check some of them out in the Bible and you will find most of the things on that list somewhere in there I'm sure.

The items listed on the web site of ACLJ were common knowledge before the election to any one who took the time to find out. This is wicked.

They will have blood on their hands -- before God.

God will judge in His wrath both the administration, those who voted for it and this nation as a body politic, if he is not already doing so by giving us such a depraved administration.

Evil days and persecution are coming.

One thing I’ll give Obama, he steps in and on day one he pushes for every agenda issue he wants to achieve. That’s what the Democrats do.

We go in there and say, “Woe is me, I can’t do anything. The Democrats don’t agree with me and it just wouldn’t be right.”

No wonder we lose. They go all out, and we act like a snail trying to move after it has dried up.

“Just the opinion of an old country boy, but we need God real bad.”

We need a lot more country boys and a lot fewer urban hedonistic snots, quite frankly. You’re absolutely right about the moral crisis facing this country, and the way we’ve let liberals infiltrate the school system without a conservative movement at all to take it back, well, I can’t say things look too good from this vantage point.

My guess is that Obama is going to concentrate on social issues. With the economy crashing, he can’t rightfully spend much capital/time wrecking our financial system with burdens. In the meantime, I’d expect him to attack every social institution this nation has stood by and fought to protect.

You might want to check out Spain and what Zapaterro did to their country. It’s dreadfully similar to what our country is going through now. After Azner left, Zapaterro just ripped their families apart there and in very short order.

All this began, of course, from war with Islamists.

I'm afraid you are right. My wife is a teacher and she is one of the few conservatives at the school. She teaches young children and they said grace before lunch and she got chewed out over it.All the parents were OK with it, the children wanted to do it,but the school said no. What is happening in our public school system is really sad. If she was forcing the children to pray, that would be different. The school was the only party that had a problem. And just FYI - they have a book called “Buster's Sugartime” that talks about one characters 2 Mommy's. And That's ok. It's put out by PBS. Our tax dollars at work. And FRiend, one more thing - I'm not in San Francisco or Vermont. I'm in rural Arkansas in the Bible Belt. We really are in deep trouble.

Bring. It. On.

The American people elected that dunce because the media hid his politics. Let the American people, who time after time reject horrible ideas like unrestricted and tax-payer funded abortion, hate crimes laws, and other goofy ideas, FINALLY see what Obama has in mind, and watch his popularity drop.

Opinion polls will keep him in line, a la Bill Clinton.

Once the public school system was established, it was inevitable that it would wind up being controlled by *some* special interest or another. In this case the far left.

As Milton Friedman says, just because there is a rationale for government-funding of education that doesn’t mean there is a rationale for government-administration of schools.
