I was listening online, yesterday, to a Traditionalist Mass. The priest, as part of his public announcements, told the congregation “Any of you who voted for Obama must go for confession, if not, you cannot receive communion”. Then, as part of his sermon, he said that, when we lose our faith, God punishes us with evil leaders like BARACK OBAMA!!!
As a Catholic, the numbers of Catholics who voted for him sickens me.
Actually, if you view the actions of the American Catholic episcopate and majority of the clergy - the decision was clearly made that Obama’s support for ‘social justice’ was far more important and valuable than his aggressive support for abortion - therefore it was a good thing to vote for Obama.
The lack of any significant pre-election effort by pro-life Catholics and clergy to call attention to the importance of protecting the unborn, coupled with sermons about Catholics should not let their ‘fear’ of ‘change’ and the ‘new’cause them to not have ‘hope’ for the future.
