Obama indoctrination in the schools
Washington Examiner ^ | 1/22/09 | Meghan Cox Gurdon

“I’m so excited,” the teacher bubbled, “I’ve just composed a song for the children!” The purpose of the song, the teacher explained, was to celebrate the results of a school wide mock election in which – surprise! -- Barack Obama had come out victorious.

It’s everywhere. I have to gag when we pick up our 6-year old granddaughter from school, enthusiastically spouting “facts” about Obama.

She did mention McCain the other day, when she asked if we liked him (a tough question to answer...) because “He was the one who got us in the war...”

We do our best to correct this stuff, but it’s hard going against something she’s hearing every day at school.

I always find that look of shock interesting, when they realize that you aren’t just giddy with thrills up your leg over Obama being President. It’s like they are so insulated by the media and surrounded by an uproar of propoganda that they can’t comprehend there are people out there who aren’t happy Obama got elected.

Not all are that crazy, but I’ve more than I’d care too over the past couple of months.

Ugh. I really hope we’re ready to home school in 4-5 years if this kind of BS spreads to our school system.

My 7 year old told me her friend said that McCain wanted to send everybody in Texas to Mexico forever and wanted them to starve to death.

Sounds like someone mixed up Mommy and Daddy’s twisted logic about McCain, but that’s how it came back down to me.

I’m not trying to play parent counsel here, but IMO you shouldn’t put up with this indoctrination crap. Have a firm talk with the school and/or withdraw your kid from this reeducation camp. Are there no alternatives?

Unfortunately my 10 year was an attempted brainwash victim on Tuesday.

When I picked him up at daycare he was all excited. Obama is President! Our first black president. He was POOR and he got elected to be President”
I interrupted him in front of the (black) daycare staff.

I said: Obama is black but he was never poor, His mother was a middle class college student. His grandparents sent him to a VERY expensive private school, then he went to college and to Harvard Law School. Abraham Lincoln was POOR. Many of our Presidents have been POOR. But Obama has never been POOR.

Then, since they were listening, I said:

Our Secretary of State Condi Rice was POOR. Our first black Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was POOR. Colin Powell and all of our first Black military leaders were POOR. Let's go home and read about Clarence Thomas..”

LOL! The looks on their faces!

I live in rural WV, where many life long Dims still exist. Tho McPain won the state, there were lots of moonbats made happy.
One of my neighbors had an inaugural party, complete with burning GWB in effigy. When I said something to him, I could have been killed dead, just with the look I received. These folks luv their Zero!!!
Of course, it’s really about ABB... (anybody but Bush!)

I know the entire school agenda all to well. We were trapped in the middle of the “That’s a family” video debacle in Evesham, NJ. The schools do not care about test scores or anything...all they care about is indoctrinating children on radical left beliefs. I for one have had enough...I ain’t complaining anymore...get involved, your children are worth it!

The future of our children is at stake...I will do whatever I have to in order to bring them up correctly and protect all children from those instilling false ideals.

I think the Mayan calendar got it wrong about the world ending in 2012. With so many things like this going on, we won’t last that long.

My 1st grader had a homework assignment this week to choose someone who she felt was strong (a la MLK Jr.) Her first response was ... guess who? I said, what’s he done to show us he’s strong? Silence. She decided on Jesus. Great choice; too bad it didn’t occur to her first.

I told her, and our kindergartener, that they will hear a lot about “Mr. Obama” at school, and that everything they hear will make him sound great. I told them to remember that millions of people, including our family, disagree with that and think he should never have been president.

Our little girl was irritated when she came home.

They were doing Obama stuff all day.

My junior high son fared well though.

His class was actually given an opportunity to opt out of watching the inaugural programming.

Of course, they will also be bombarded with the yearly MLK drill, which drags on longer & longer each year.

Yawn.

My 11 year old daughter (P.) came home from her new public elementary school in Naples Florida on Tuesday. She described how the teachers were celebrating the Obama inauguration by watching the event on TV with a party and snacks and with all the teachers wearing paper hats and blowing horns.

P. asked the teachers if they did this for every inauguration; “Did they have a party when President Bush was elected?” She said the teachers looked uncomfortable at the question and explained to the class that; “Every president gets an inauguration and it is always televised”.

“No,” My daughter clarified, “Did you have a party like this, here at school when President Bush was elected?” None of the teachers answered her question. P was asked to sit down and be quiet so that the others could watch the inauguration.
