Is Obama's marxist agenda tied to what you called Rush's egomania? Let's assume for the sake of argument that Rush has a big ego (not as big as Obama's ego, mind you). How does Rush's ego keep the nation divided?

Exactly! And Rush is educating people, along with other radio hosts and conservative media personalities. They are the ones exposing Obama's agenda, and Obama needs to silence dissent and his critics. Let's make one thing clear: Rush doesn't speak for the GOP, Rush speaks for conservatism and conservative ideals.

Don't fall for Obama's tactics. This isn't about one man. Obama's agenda isn't complicated. Anyone who knows about socialism and communism can see what he's doing. It was Rush who exposed Obama for the socialist that he is. It is Rush who can point out the difference between right and wrong quite easily when it comes to Obama and the rest of the Democrats' tactics, and his ego has nothing to do with it.
Note also that Obama is making the same mistake that Clinton made when he feuded with Rush in the early-mid 1990s. He is the leader of the free world and he is feuding with a radio host. That in itself elevates Rush and diminishes Obama. It's very foolish on his part. He evidently didn't learn from Clinton's experience.

He will try for sure, but like I said, this isn't about Rush per se, this is about destroying the first amendment. This is about silencing critics and political opponents. This is about incrementalism. You start with one person, demonize him/her, and then destroy them using any legal means at your disposal --an old Stalinist tactic.
Obama is starting with Rush because he is the biggest voice in conservatism. He will try to destroy him first, but his purpose is to destroy all those who oppose him and that includes the rest of conservative talk radio, as well as newsmen and the blogosphere. This includes Free Republic and any other conservative websites out there. This is the beginning of the end of freedom of expression.
There is a way to fight it, though. We unite and grow bigger by intelligent dissents and constructive criticism. We don't allow fear to silence us. We keep on going. We resist!
