Obama: Remaking US, remaking world! Dr Ikram Azam
My article, “My Futuristic Vision of America” was written last year on 6th November, 2008, and published in this paper, on Monday 5th January, 2009. In it I had wished and visualized America to become a Moral Peace Power, and President elect “Barack Hussain Obama” to elect to emerge as a President of Peace as a 21st Century Moses.
I feel optimistically gratified by President Obama’s inaugural speech, because it confirms my initial wish, prayer and hope. In fact, the whole world will wait for him to honour his pledge, both to America and to the global human fraternity.
As Muslims, the Islamic Ummah of the Muslim World will expect him to win all of them over by reinvoking and respecting his Islamic-Muslim paternal origins, roots and mornings, and by recognizing realistically that Islam is the Perennial Peace Paradigm (1).
Furthermore, hopefully, he will pragmatically network with the Muslim World people and collective leadership, (if not synergize with them) to enable, energize and empower them to implement this moral-spiritual-secular Vision of Islam as a living reality. We are not concerned with President Obama’s faith, creed and religion, so long as he is a noble human being and a good Christian ___ who he is!
As he, himself, said in his inaugural speech, America is a multiethnic, multireligious, and plural democratic state and society.
It is ‘a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus’, etc. President Obama’s election at this point of time and space in human history, seems to be a miraculous act of Divine intervention to install Peace in the human psyche and global systems.
Sadly, that's what 52.7% of those Americans who voted for B. Hussein O think as well.

This guy needs to be rounded up and sent to Gitmo. He is expressing a threat to all of us here in the US where we are protected by the first amendment to free speech. He is so brave he hides behind a mask/ Some mother must be proud.
