how does the media have so much influence over the Republican party after all this time of them bashing the republicans?
I don't really understand how McCain won other then the conservative side split their votes between a few candidates.

I don't really understand how McCain won ... He did not "win" as much as he was pronounced the winner on January 29th after the FL primary.
With only 7 states voting and totaling little more than 25% of the vote at the time, he was crowned as our candidate.
