President Obama's call for Republicans to ignore Rush Limbaugh if they want to "get things done" with the new Democratic majority, featured in today's Post, sparked a war of words between the new commander-in-chief and the talk show host.

Rush’ profit center breaks just got a lot more obscene.
I guess the President of the United States has nothing better to do than take on a talk radio host. It’s pretty pathethic. Shows his insecurity.
He is not an empty suit. His is a suit filled with a 12 year old playground bully telling everyone to stay off his corner. Dumb move.
Yawn. Hasn’t the Left already announced Rush’s irrelevance several times already? Say, every time they got annoyed at his speaking the actual truth?

If Obama keeps it up, Rush won’t need obscene profit center breaks for all the donations that people will probably send him.
Meanwhile, patronize Rush’s advertisers!

Why is a sitting president going after a private citizen?

We will see much more of this as the novelty of "Obama-mania" wears off and the honeymoon comes to an end. By the end of this term, Jimmy Carter is going to look like a real statesman.
Obama will learn that verbal attacks on Rush will only increase Rush’s already enormous ratings, and his income. What sacres me is that Obama will start looking at a way to force him off the air. In Chicago during the DNC convention, Obama’s efforts to shut down WGN radio revealed that the man will use force to silence his critics and that he has no regard for Free Speech. He’d have Rush arrested and jailed if he could figure out a way to do it.

all the local sponsors and told them I would patronize
them because they advertise on Rush’s show.
Rush has got to be on cloud 9 right now. Obama just guaranteed him a couple more million listeners, and beyond that, the credibility in the drive-by media and amongst Democrats as his chief ideological rival. Rush is hands down without a doubt THE most influential conservative in America today, and one of the most influential conservatives in American history. My money’s on Rush.
I thought this quote was telling, and a fabulous statement from Rush.

Dem media has managed to turn “Conservative” and “Chritian” in to radioactive hate words, that no “Sane”(ie.,PC) person would want to be associated with.
What Obama is telling the media is that it’s time to do the same to Limbaugh.
He should expect the IRS to arrive o his doorstep VERY SOON riding a dark horse....

Just Number 13 on Alinski’s Rules for Radicals. See, Obama goes off of other people’s play-books, just part of his dependence on Teleprompters. Someone jerked on the Rush string, and the “Fairness Doctrine” String. I can see now that a few someones are REALLY slavering for the chance to take a swipe at Conservative Talk Radio. Bambi is a puppet on about 100 different strings. Gonna be interesting watching him get jerked around for 4 years, assuming he lasts that long with out being indited for Fraud.
