Call me a commie but I don’t see how relocating a prison and doing away with waterboarding means the end of the WoT. Does it impede the WoT? Arguably; I think the jury is still out on waterboarding’s effectiveness. Let’s not all lose our heads like the Democrats did over Bush.

That said, this seems to me to be either a lateral move or a very tiny step backwards, not a full fledged white flag. Let’s wait until he *really* screws up.

Never been to SERE school, eh?

Anybody can be broken.

And do you really want those terrorist scum on US soil, being released into US society by demonrat judges?

If you want to do something in the war on terror, buy a gun, because the government is in the hands of lunatics.

Again..., the record shows that all too often we in this country are too lenient with our enemies — whether it's Cold War traitors or today's cutthroat killers who are defended by the Loonies who form the base that helped put Barack Obama into the White House.

Now, they can't wait for the new president to shut down Gitmo and set bloodthirsty terrorists onto American streets. Many of these people think America deserves the problem. They blame us for the Cold War and for the current war to defend ourselves against Islamofascism.

President Obama talked a big game in the campaign about shutting down Guantanamo Bay, and he is now under the gun from the crazed sector of his party to deliver. If he fails, they will turn against him. If he does as they say, and some innocent is killed as a result, his future is toast. As Osama bin Laden himself has said, his army of killers would use our own laws against us.

On another note, the Arab/Islamofacist terrorist response to Present Obama's first interview with the media (Arab Media BTW) was that they are glad that we aren't fighting Islamofacism anymore, but just those horrible Al Qaida terrorists.

The guy I heard also mentioned that they were glad that Obama reached out to the Muslims and mentioned that (part of) his family is Muslim.

More from the article:

With the cry of "Death to America!" heard in Mosques right in the heart of Middle America, who will be allowed to keep an eye on that incitement to violence and terror before it actually happens? The same people who are holding Obama's feet to the fire on Gitmo wouldn't tolerate that, either.

Also, if a competent domestic counterintelligence agency were set up, would there be a wall between it and the political forces that influence the politicians who hold its purse strings? They tried that (on the international level) with the CIA, and look what happened in the Valerie Plame case.

Bill Clinton, during his two terms, emasculated our National Security (not to mention downsizing our military dramatically) by not allowing the FBI, CIA etc communicate with each other in an effective manner.

That IMO was pretty much the beginning of allowing terrorists to effect the 911 attack.

The question

How many more 9/11s will it take to bring America to the point where it can deal with its enemies — be they traitors who make enemy weapons that kill our soldiers, or the "Death to America" crowd? Do we have to wait until suicide bombers come to these shores? Or will Osama bin laden continue to use our own laws against us?

Justice Robert Jackson once said the Constitution is not a suicide document.

We indeed do live in interesting times.

I’ve heard legends about that place, and read just a little bit. They make US Fighter Pilots go there, ay?

Crikey, if even half of what I’ve heard is true, your fighter pilots must be made of some very stern stuff.

Unrepentant Domestic Terrorist William Ayres is still free and treated just like the spies in this article were treated. Only more so.

He is still working on infecting the minds of those in our schools with communism, Marxism and radical domestic terror tactics.

But oh yea, he is Obama's friend and neighbor.

You are welcome to ask Khalid Sheik Mohammad if water boarding works.

And it is understanding that Obozo has also brought an end to offensive operations in Iraq.

Now, listen to your own words: tiny steps backward.

If Obozo takes enough tiny steps backwards, eventually he will be a long way away from being able to protect America.

In my view, this is what Obozo wants (see the video below).

We need to be paying very close attention to what is going on right now. While we are paying attention, I don't think we should we should be comparing ourselves to the deranged left.

Here is a video for your enjoyment:

"means the end of the WoT"

It's not a WoT, it's a militarized response to Jihad. We should be following the Sharia laws of war in pursuing it.

not a full fledged white flag. Let’s wait until he *really* screws up.

BHO has recineded ALL Executive Orders issued after 9/11. Throughout our "intelligence" apparatus there are programs and missions that are now effectively cancelled because nothing has been issued as a directive on how or if they should proceed.

Information that was critical to the defense of the country on January 19, 2009 is no longer of interest today.

I guess it all depends on the definition of *really* screwed up.

Hi Syncro.

If there is a question worth asking, It must be who is more dangerous?

Is it the enemy without?

Or the enemy within?

Where's POGO when we need him?

Where did you hear that all executive orders after 9/11 were rescinded?

Bush’s definition of WOT?

More a BDSing spreading to cover for cowardice and surrender to terror in PC good looking pseudopatriotic ways.

The American people are going to have to stop using substitutes and PC for convenience.

By the way, since Bush does not fight for principles, this has turned to RDS, RushLimbaugh Derangement Syndrome, started by Obama... and then “they came for me and none were there for me...”

I guess we should practice without a license now, guns and what not. They do infanticide without a license in abortion clinics, I hear. Why don’t we send islamofascists to such?

I can't find that either, but there is this from Nov 10th
Transition advisers to President-elect Barack Obama have compiled a list of about 200 Bush administration actions and executive orders that could be swiftly undone to reverse White House policies on climate change, stem cell research, reproductive rights and other issues, according to congressional Democrats, campaign aides and experts working with the transition team.

Obama himself has signaled, for example, that he intends to reverse Bush's controversial limit on federal funding of embryonic stem cell research, a decision that scientists say has restrained research into some of the most promising avenues for defeating a wide array of diseases, such as Parkinson's. Read on...

Islamofascists, infanticide in abortion concentration camps, Political Correctness and Hitler’s way to the camps... hmm... are liberals quacking the same language?

Our mental institutions and abortion clinics practice water boarding. We should exterminate the detainees via those PC concentration camps... and they called Reagan evil for stopping these practices that made the “mentaly ill” homeless...

Because one thing that bringing them here does is tie them up within the legal beurocracy and miles of red tape. They can obtain lawyers, sue, and sue, then sue some more. They can get assume rights of American citizens within the American legal system. They can recruit from the prison population. They can also pose and incredible danger to facility guards and the general prison population, some who may have hope of rehabilitation one day.

It's a legal nightmare that only the mind of a democrat could embrace.

The stem cell fraud... now anyone can be a drunk on welfare and be rebuilt for free...

Well, since abortion prevents that and diversing tools... ultimately stem cell selective destruction removes genes from the pool and turns the product into a freak.

More Cow Bells please.
