We’ve been warned in Austin/Hill Country to expect outages as we are in catastrophic drought, and debris/material has collected in our power lines’ interruptors with no rain since forever to rinse it out.. the ice will cause those particles to short out the lines.
Central KY here - it’s on the tail-end now. Lots of ice, rain and snow. Tons of downed trees in the neighborhood. We still have power for now, but it’s been shaky and flickering for the last hour. Internet still on, obviously.
Going to get cold tonight, so this winter wonderland isnt’ going away anytime soon. Can count on more trees down tonight, that’s for sure.
