I can’t believe it....
Is this the Ayer’s method of learning?
Neocons, please go into the education field. You are needed to stop the poisonous tide of socialism. Your children and your grandchildren need you now.

"The term Hitler oath refers to the oaths of allegiance sworn by German Wehrmacht officers and soldiers as well as civil servants during the Third Reich between the years 1934 and 1945. The oath pledged personal loyalty to the person of Adolf Hitler in place of loyalty to the constitution."
"Germany's voters went to the polls and 89.9% voted their approval for Hitler to assume complete power over Germany. The following day, August 20, 1934, the cabinet decreed the 'Law On The Allegiance of Civil Servants and Soldiers of the Armed Forces' ('Gesetz über die Vereidigung der Beamten und der Soldaten der Wehrmacht'), which superseded the original oaths. Prior to the decree, both members of the armed forces and civil servants had sworn loyalty to 'the People and the Fatherland' ('Volk und Vaterland'); civil servants had additionally sworn to uphold the constitution and laws of Germany.
"The new law decreed that instead, both members of the armed forces and civil servants would swear loyalty to Adolf Hitler."
A couple of days ago a (conservative) SF Bay Area radio talk show host played an “advertisement” put out by Hollywood. It was an audio montage of people praising Obama. At one point a person says “I pledge allegiance to Barack Obama”. My blood ran cold. All we need now are Enabling Acts.
They DO realize the gravity of what they are doing, that’s the whole point of them doing it. That’s why they go into teaching, to indoctrinate, not to educate.
Already such tactics are being used to mold Obama Youth Groups

I hope the parents win this one.
What the teachers are doing is outrageous.
bttt
Teachers clearly do not realize the gravity of what they are doing.
Oh yes, they do.
"Clearly?"
I think their presumed ignorance is far from clear.
in fact, I suspect they know full well what they're doing.
I have a feeling my son would be taking a trip to the principals office if they did that in his school.
Yet another reason to homeschool...as if any more were needed.
Updates from article:
Update Jan 28th: The parents spoke to the Vice-Principal this afternoon. He said he would take care of it. I will check with them tomorrow and update this story.
Update Jan 29th: The teachers at the school today talked to the children about flag etiquette and the meaning of the flag and why the pledge is said. The lights were left on, so the flag could be clearly seen and the children were told that they should face towards and look at the flag. The parent spoke to the Principal and the child’s teacher. The Principal said they would not show the image of the president at the same time as the pledge tomorrow. The Principal apologized for causing offense. The parent and Principal and teacher left on good terms.
