Leaders at economic forum see meltdown as chance to expand government control

NEW YORK – A call to utilize the current global economic crisis as a panic in which governments worldwide can move to nationalize banks is emerging from the 2009 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The forum's founder, Klaus Schwab, told CNN yesterday the current global economic slowdown is a "transformational crisis" that should be utilized to shape a "new world."

"Above all else this is a crisis of confidence," Schwab said. "To restore confidence you have to establish signposts that the world after the crisis will be different. We have to create a new world and that is what Davos 2009 will be all about – serving society."

When does it end?

It ends when American Patriots finally stand up to the “New World Order” and show our huge numbers in the streets. Until then, the sheeple will continue rolling over and taking it until freedom will only be a dream. Our Founding Fathers would be quite ashamed of our lack of resolve to fight the good fight and win back our liberty.

So how does UN Poster Boy Maurice Strong intend to harness America’s middleclass?

This is what Strong told a reporter back in 1990, when he was describing what he called a fantasy scenario for the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Switzerland—where 1,000 diplomats, CEOs and politicians gather annually “to address global issues”.

What if a small group of these world leaders were to conclude that the principal risk to the earth comes from the actions of the rich countries?…

In order to save the planet, the group decides: Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring this about?

“This group of world leaders forms a secret society to bring about an economic collapse,” Strong told the reporter in painting his so-called fantasy scenario.

“It’s February. They’re all at Davos. These aren’t terrorists. They’re world leaders. They have positioned themselves in the world’s commodities and stock markets. They’ve engineered, using their access to stock markets and computers and gold supplies, a panic. Then, they prevent the world’s stock markets from closing. They jam the gears. They hire mercenaries who hold the rest of the world leaders at Davos as hostage. The markets can’t close…

When does it end?

When those bloody Yank peasants are disarmed, and that ridiculous "Unseen Hand" is shackled to a permanent plow on a Soylent Ranch.

Sad part, I would not be surprised.

I agree - in practical terms, how do we do this - get Patriots out of work or out of school and into the streets? I was truly surprised today that all the Republican’s in the House actually voted against this Shamomania bill today — too little too late? Or are some people finally growing a pair?

Will someone please point me to the underground freedom movement? I’ve had enough. I’ve got some skills that might be useful.

Well, maybe there’s an excuse coming for us all to dump the dollar and transact business in gold and silver coin. Untraceable, untaxable commerce sounds good to me.

As long as when the issue is being debated, we can all agree to refer to the proposed currency as the “amero/barf”.

Lots of us, to paraphrase Michellobama , are “for the first time in our adult lives, proud of the Republican party”.
Looking at it objectively, the Republicans perceived that the had NOTHING to gain on any level by voting for it: it would pass anyway without them, and classical Republican interests would not be “rewarded” by the Democrat majority that is going to pass this Giant Package of Pork. The Republicans are content to go on record unanimously as NOT supporting it, and when it starts to get implemented, and NOTHING works and it proves to be a massive, destructive boondoggle, it will undermine the credibility of the Democrats for years to come/

“...how do we do this?”

We need to form local FReeper groups. Yes, some would call it a militia. We could at least then confront our state legislators en mass and show the public that we are not going to stand idle while we are being forced off to indoctrination camps.

I like this idea a lot. I'm surprised you don't get banned for suggesting it. Another thing we need is a far less arbitrarily constrained forum where we can actually contemplate the government physically turning on us (*gasp*) and our ability to respond (DOUBLE *gasp*).
