Illinois Democratic Governor Rod Blagojevich now promises he will appear before the Illinois Senate today and give his own closing argument. I can hardly wait. This man has become a caricature of himself; no cartoonist can capture the essence of his weirdness as well as Blago himself. This should be good.

He is just a typical Chicago/Illinois politician who happened to get caught. I personally hope he hangs on for awhile to shine a light on who this whole crowd really is. Strict term limits! The only real solution to political corruption.
is = are
The real fun will be his criminal trial. He better get some serious time too...ten years minimum.
Threaten him with twenty-plus so he’ll give up Daley, Mell, Jackson, Durbin, and all the corrupt Chicago aldermen.
the IL sate senate is giving him a 90 minute time slot beginning at 11am cst for his closing argument, he will offer no testimony and answer no questions
some speculate he’ll give yet another rendition of his latest “victimhood” stump speech
some are guessing he may, after all, resign ... just to deprive the senate of its glee for impeaching him
others think he may go nuclear and start naming names and telling stories (and he knows many) about members of the senate and their shenanigans ... a genuine parting shot
I hope he sings like a bird.
he could score some big hits ... Rahmbo and Obambo right off the top.
gotta think west wing tv will be tuned in for this
Right you are. That should also erase any doubts about the difference between impeachment and indictment.
When lawmakers working on a budget during a special session met at 10 a.m. rather than 2 p.m., and Blagojevich's attorney threatened that the Governor was considering legal action against the involved representatives, Democratic Rep. Joe Lyons told reporters,And THAT was from a fellow Dem!"We have a madman. The man is insane."
And for Chicagoans --- Blago is so dumb he flunked out of Lane Tech HS (when it was 'All Boys'). He wound up graduating from Foreman HS. The fact is that if he didn't marry Patti Mell, he'd be selling vitamins door-to-door.
