White House Unbuttons Formal Dress Code (POTUS AGW HYPOCRITE)
nytime ^ | 1/28/2009 | SHERYL GAY STOLBERG

The capital flew into a bit of a tizzy when, on his first full day in the White House, President Obama was photographed in the Oval Office without his suit jacket. There was, however, a logical explanation: Mr. Obama, who hates the cold, had cranked up the thermostat.

“He’s from Hawaii, O.K.?” said Mr. Obama’s senior adviser, David Axelrod, who occupies the small but strategically located office next door to his boss. “He likes it warm. You could grow orchids in there.”

Thus did an ironclad rule of the George W. Bush administration — coat and tie in the Oval Office at all times — fall by the wayside, only the first of many signs that a more informal culture is growing up in the White House under new management. Mr. Obama promised to bring change to Washington and he has — not just in substance, but in presidential style.

Although his presidency is barely a week old, some of Mr. Obama’s work habits are already becoming clear. He shows up at the Oval Office shortly before 9 in the morning, roughly two hours later than his early-to-bed, early-to-rise predecessor. Mr. Obama likes to have his workout — weights and cardio — first thing in the morning, at 6:45. (Mr. Bush slipped away to exercise midday.)

As John McEnroe would say "you have got to be kidding me, right?". Who let this maroon speak to the press.

I read Thriving on Chaos. he said that we had to be more like Japan with Government and business working together. The Japanese economy collapsed and didn’t come out of its duldrums for decades.
I have never been a huge fan of his.

So Little Barry Obama is breaking with his role model Jimmy Carter by turning up the heat. And then he takes off his jacket. So much for global warming.

Is Obama really stupid enough to take-off his jacket to get warmer?

He had to pop a piece of gum immediately after the Bushes left in the helicopter.

Wasn’t the press lauding Little Barry as the “flinty” President from Chicago for criticizing the closing of schools for a little ice?

He can’t have it both ways. Yesterday he was dissing DC for closing schools, when in Chicago they not only don’t close schools for snow, but the kids go outside for recess.

So how long is it before zer0 appears in the oval office wearing this typical Muslim dress?

You mean like this.

These people make no sense.

He cranks up the thermostat cuz he’s cold, but he takes of his jacket because he’s hot?

How about you turn down the thermostat and keep your jacket on?

Oh.

“I still have the suit I was married in 51 years ago...”

I have about 15 hanging in the closet and they all shrunk over the last few years. How do you do it? Special climate control in the closet?

President Reagan was 70 years old when he became President. Mr. Obama is 47. That's a 23 year difference. The media regularly questioned whether Reagan could do the job at 74. Maybe the young Mr. Obama lacks the stamina to do the job.

The important issue is whether he is able to perform his duties as POTUS and Commander in Chief. My son just finished Recruit Training for the USMC. He was up at 0500 on a regular basis. I would expect his Commander in Chief to do likewise if necessary. I appreciate the fact that Pres. Bush was at the job early. Too bad that Obama can't get himself to work before 0900.

Hmm...don’t I recall a REAL Democrat President putting on a sweater in front of the WH fireplace? Yeppers, I sure long for the days of Jimmuh Carter...

“He likes it warm. You could grow orchids in there.”

Maybe that’s because of all the fertilizer in there now.

President Bush was consistently in bed asleep at 9 PM. What does that say about his stamina?

So this is the same President that said,

“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times . . . and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK. That’s not leadership.”

Americans are cutting back on their buying, retail sales are down and stores are struggling. But it’s nothing for Obama to go out an buy his wife a pair of $30,000 earrings as a gift after his election.

A lot of us are having trouble paying our heating bills, and he’s cranking the thermostat up after telling us that we can’t have our thermostats set at 72 and expect the rest of the world to say it’s OK.

This man disgusts me more every day.
