I read the press release. I now understand her position.

Lighten up. I understand Palin wants what every state is “entitled” to (cringe - Dear God how far we have fallen) for infrastructure, federally funded mandates (Dear God, how far we have fallen!), etc. I'm only interested in her willingness to accept “bailout” money. Earmarks. Pork. As much as I love Governor Palin she's still a politician with access to the Washington trough.

So you want YOUR tax money going to democrat states like NY and CA instead of coming back to your state where at least you get some benefit? Would it make you feel better to refuse it, and that way you can be paying to school the liberals kids?

Unfortunately questioning her is unacceptable to some wooden headed supporters. (I never actually said anything against her but I do have questions) I will guarantee that I WILL NOT vote for someone I can't question. If I wanted to do that I would have voted for Zero.

If in the future I see an ongoing repetition of corrupt, left-leaning or otherwise McCain-like behavior on the part of Palin I will join the anti-Palin critics. Palin’s current political value is in advancing conservative principles, not in advancing Sarah Palin.

At this point the error lies overwhelmingly with some of her critics on this thread because their portrayal is notably inaccurate.

Immigration is extremely important to me but I voted for Palin in the last election despite her less than impressive answers on the subject. I see her as somewhat of a populist (IMO a good thing) and suspect her positions will lean toward the will of the people.

That would be a good arguement if it had anything to do with what I posted, but since you apparently didn't bother to read before you crafted your witty answer, you might re-read what I said. You want to give away your tax money, fine, we'll take it here in my state if they're going to pass it. If there is a possibility of it not passing, even better, but I seriously doubt something won't get passed. In that case I want MY tax money coming to MY state.

You can stand on principle if you want, but then your money will go to fund liberal causes in NYC instead of building a bridge in your state.
