Black Monday is coming.

Obama is also supposed to announce his gutting of the US military:

Ten percent reduction in one year!

I’ll bet he’s gone in less than six months. He’s dealing with Chicago politicians here. They only want his Senate seat. I can’t believe that he’s dumb enough to give it to them.

Any Republican that works for the mongrel should be disowned. Communism is all forms should be opposed. Obama is a communist and is working on the plan to destory the sovereignty of the USA.

Um, you can’t fire a cabinet member.

This is not true!

As I said on the other thread, I don't see the problem. Does anyone really think that one of the dwarf RINOS---Collins, Snowe, Voinovich, Gregg, or one of the others---wouldn't break ranks on any given bill? Of course they would. The Dems have ALWAYS had a 60-vote majority, only now, all the pressure is on them to get their little caucus to march in lock-step.

If you know the cloture vote will fail ahead of time, you can demonize the Republicans and threaten to filibuster over everything. But if you know it will pass, then you have to be sure you really want to bring something up for a vote. And that means that several of these Dems in red states who may have to face voters will be on the hot seat.

Either way, I'd rather have 30 reliable votes than 40 squishy ones.

All of us will be having plenty of tax problems along with a finite number of other problems, thanks to long-term socialism! All non-leftists need to have a serious and successful civil war actually happen, if the political left is ever going to be successfully defeated at any given point in the future. I’m seriously not convinced that just having the ‘10 and ‘12 elections will truly be enough to actually make conservatism a dominant political force again, no matter how bad it gets throughout the U.S. Leftists will probably have even more voters vote for them by ‘12 through illegals, criminals, cheating, and successful suppression of all non-leftist activities.

Yes, it is.
In fact, the president could be impeached for attempting to do so.
Not that anything like that would happen to Hussein.

But they can be forced to resign.

The President could send him on a long good will trip
and the deputy runs the department.

True, but they can resign under threat of impeachment. And we know that the threat would not be empty. The House would do it in a heartbeat just on Obama’s whim (though it will not be him who brings it up.)

What would be curious is whether the Republicans could muster enough votes to prevent a 2/3 majority in the trial. Theoretically they could block it and if he does not resign he would simply be marginalized.

http://minnesotaindependent.com/25085/60-seat-majority-over-greggs-dead-body

This article indicates he won’t take it if it hands the 60 seat majority to the Dems...he said it would be a breach of confidence for the people that elected him.

So has he made a deal to have his seat replaced by another Republican?

I would say that you can attempt to force out anyone, but if they don’t go, then you asked for him, the Senate confirmed him, and you got him.

Nothing easy about it.

Cabinet members can be fired by the President, or impeached by the Congress. Customarily, cabinet members serve for a President's term, then are either fired or re-appointed when he is elected to a second.

This info is from the below link:

I see a filibuster proof Senate for the Dems as they appear to have their 60 votes if Franken win Minnesota.

With the half dozen or so RINO's--Hussein has that right now.

Trying to keep EVERY SINGLE Republican senator in line (with the RINO's) is like 'herding cats'.

your post is correct, Thank you,

The situation would be interesting indeed.
I actually think that we are pretty close to the times in another period in history, in another country, taken over by a(nother) National Socialist Party that was voted into power.

We shall see. but i’m keeping my powder dry

Blago was a Governor, not a Cabinet Member. According to the link I posted above, he can be fired.
