Good question. I had a water heater that had a dip tube made from pvc. The pvc broke apart in five years. It cost $800 to have a new natural gas water heater installed. I wonder what part on this system will malfunction and cause a call to King Solar?

Look at the diagram and part number 13. It is a Taco 009-BF5 pump. To replace that pump today will cost $232.50. Five years from now, you may not be able to find that pump at $232.50. And, the technician that tells you that the pump (that leaked hot water all over your utlility room) needs replacement may charge you plenty for the diagnosis and the pump installation. And, there is also the cost for the new utility room floor from the water damage.

I hope all these green weenies get stuck with huge maintenance bills for their pie in the sky solar systems. As for me, those $800 bills for a water heater are enough to bend me over the economic barrel.
