A popular pro-life video portraying President Obama as an unborn child has been rejected by NBC-TV as an ad during Sunday's Super Bowl.

"Imagine Spot 1," a YouTube video that has amassed more than 700,000 hits since its Jan. 2O premiere on Black Entertainment Television, was submitted earlier this week to NBC by Fidelis, a Chicago-based Catholic organization. Its subsidiary, CatholicVote.org, runs the 30-second spot on its Web site.

I normally watch all the pre-game stuff for the Super Bowl but after about 45 minutes today, I tuned out until the kickoff. What I saw in that 45 minutes was nothing but an Obama Lovefest. I lost patience when Bruce “the Jerk” Springsteen started in about Obama’s wonderful coronation. That 45 minutes had very little to do with football. I hope NBC’s ratings went in the toilet for that fiasco.

Decisions at NBC seem to have been made by cowards with no respect for LIFE.

Do not try to get around copywrite restrictions by posting articles in full downthread. Thanks.

What reason did they give for rejecting it?

Great ad. I find it interesting that this ad was too controversial for NBC, but the GoDaddy.com ad with the big chested women somehow met their strict standards (not that I’m complaining). I guess all is fair as long as you don’t blaspheme against the Chosen One.

After NBC’s sorry turndown here on a completely innocent ad, my sife and I decided to not turn on the TV and watch the game.

Instead, I wrote a check for $1,000 and sent it to Fidelis, the Catholic organization who made the video.

NBC rejected this because it was an add that promoted “political advocacy or issues”. But they were willing to put the sexy PETA ad on, until it was deemed to racy.
