Besides the hype over the Super Bowl game itself, many local viewers are reacting over an incident that happened during the local television broadcast of the game.
For viewers of Comcast's standard definition cable signal, the final minutes of the game were interrupted by a thirty-second video clip showing pornography.
We contacted KVOA, the channel carrying today's super-bowl. A representative from the KVOA Newsroom said "It was a comcast issue, not KVOA. KVOA had nothing to do with it." Our phone calls to the KVOA News Director were not returned.
We also called Comcast and Kelle Maslyn, the Corporate Affairs Manager with Comcast, says that they get their signal from KVOA through Cox Communications. Maslyn said, "We are investigating the cause, and working with engineers at Cox Communications to find out why this happened."
Cox Communications spokesman Michael Dunne offers this statement tonight, "As far as we can determine, there has been no inappropriate material shown to Cox customers. It appears to be a Comcast issue."
Porn and Cox. Ok, let’s just leave it be.
Many teenage boys who never thought themselves the ‘football type’ were suddenly enthralled with the game.
I have Cox Cable and I demand my 30 seconds of pron.
And I thought this was about those stupid GoDaddy.com commercials...
Ha! One of my friends last night jokingly said they should top the Janet Jackson incident this time, I guess this would be it!
Agreed the officiating was lousy. Why Harrison wasn’t ejected is beyond me.
The Doritos ad was more pornographic than Go Daddy this year.
WWWWHW, remember?
The most offensive interruption was the owner of the Steelers. Who did he thank first for his win? God? His wife and kids? His coaches and players? No... Obama.
What was pornographic about it?
just means an engineer or technical director had porn up on a monitor
and accidentally sent it out instead of game. probably will get fired.
Comcast sorry for showing porn footage on kid tv channel
Comcast launches all Obama channel
Wow! If true, that would be even more offensive than having that anti-American ungrateful POS Bruce Springsteen performing the halftime show!
Really, why shouldn’t offensive lineman be allowed to tackle people? It would be a lot easier to beat the Steelers if the other team didn’t have to follow the rules.
