Orly is a gem. If we win this then we should start a group like an anti-ACLU or a better Judicial Watch. Get some wealthy funders and try to start cleaning up the govt. Try to dismantle as Leo refers to “the Cult” running the show and robbing American taxpayers.

Orly would be the person to run it. I liked how Daschle backed down. A group like this funded by the people to run rats like Frank, Pelosi, McCain, Graham and Dodd out of office.

FYI:

Tax troubles have tripped up another Obama administration official.

Nancy Killefer withdrew from consideration to be the federal government’s chief performance officer — a new position — because of her past failure to pay unemployment taxes for household help at her D.C. home.

“I recognize that your agenda and the duties facing your chief performance officer are urgent,” Killefer wrote in a letter to President Barack Obama Tuesday. “I have also come to realize in the current environment that my personal tax issue of D.C. unemployment tax could be used to create exactly the kind of distraction and delay those duties must avoid. Because of this I must reluctantly ask you to withdraw my name from consideration.”

Killefer has been a senior director at McKinsey & Co. and worked in the Treasury Department during the Clinton administration.

"Why post this if you’re unwilling to post a corresponding explanation in plain English?"

"Unwilling?" Did you not read my post #6? It was my attempt at explaining it 'in plain English' and as I mentioned, I'm not a lawyer (nor a Constitutional scholar)....just a very concerned citizen.

Granted, with time and the responses of folks who are more of the 'legal mind' type or who have direct access to such, it's been described better. Thanks, and have a nice one.

Well, I’m pretty sure it will be brown.

I suspect that the days of frank, pelosi, and dodd in Congress are numbered.

I voted for McCain and I still admire him, although I respectfully disagree with him on some issues.

Likewise for Senator Graham.

Thanks for the update but before we start spreading the word since mainstream media won’t touch the subject with a 10-foot pole we need something to really occur.

Agreed...but I hope there is enough uproar now to get Geithner to step down. Any chance of that happening???

What is the next step - does it have a date? Are there hurdles or conditions that the case has to meet that are known? (what are they and who decides?)

Thanks in advance for replies.

Yes...and if you recite the words backwards you can see where Bill Clinton came from. And if you leave out every other word, you get Carter incantations.

Sad isn’t it? Al Capone went to prison for tax evasion; today if you refuse to pay your taxes you get Presidential cabinet appointments. Who knew Capone was a Republican? Guess its the new ‘change’ and ‘transparency’ in government. Felons need apply.

On the other hand maybe we should all send a note of thanks to the Democrats in congress for their ‘new tax plan’. DON’T PAY TAXES! Whoo hoo!

Considering “Any blip in your background need not apply” I’m wondering if the Obama daughters were in charge of background checks...

“What is the next step - does it have a date? Are there hurdles or conditions that the case has to meet that are known? (what are they and who decides?)

SCOTUS will decide.

It will be a decision of first impression (1st time) on some issues and second impression on another.

It will be one of the most important decisions in the history of American Jurisprudence.

You said — “LOL! It is funny how the usual suspects come out of the woodwork at the same time. My guess is they are waiting to get their talking points fax or emails.

Anyone want to bet? I say one will pop up in 20 minutes or less.”

LOL! If this is indicative of the type of thinking that goes along with analyzing the data in these threads, it’s no wonder this issue is going nowhere...

There are just some posts that jump out at ya, and get you to laughing... This is one of them.

As for me, sometimes I’ve not even around Free Republic for days at a time and then I catch up on reading right on down the list of articles that have been posted. Only the ones that are interesting for various reasons (and that includes the “Obama Derangement Syndrome” as being interesting too, along with my other personally interesting subjects...) get attention, and then even fewer get posts.

Way back when (long before the election), I posted against Obama and raised some of the same questions about showing some documentation for purposes of proving the issue. But, I could clearly see that there was a “hole” in the vetting system that did not require *specific* legal documentation, other than simply following the same normal procedures used by prior candidates. And then, when the election passed, I also lost. Then I realized that there are a lot more for Obama, than I ever thought there was before (which definitely was not me... LOL...).

The hole in the vetting system is why I’m supporting the bill in Oklahoma to require specific documentation to prove a candidate’s eligibility according to the Constitution. Also, Arizona is dong the same thing.

And so, at first, these threads were interesting and informative and had good discussions when we were running up to the election. The election pretty much threw all of this stuff out the door, so to speak. It was very clear by then, that this issue was going nowhere, at all. And it is still very apparent from all the results thus far.

That’s why several conservatives and the conservative media has labeled this “Obama Derangement Syndrome”. Now, at this current time, my interest is anthropological, as in human behavior. I want to see how long it is before people face up to the reality of the election and get into alternative methods of opposing policies that need to be opposed. For some, I think this will continue (for them) all the way through the opening day of Obama’s Presidential Library... :-) ...

For what I thought was serious discussion on Free Republic, has turned into wishful thinking and irrational thinking. One example of that is that Obama is escorted “off property” (of the White House) with a court order and a Marshal serving it... (now that’s a hoot!). Yes, there are some who will come on here and “defend that methodology” — which to me stresses the “derangement” part of the syndrome.

Also, the other “derangement” part of this syndrome is always “looking for the trolls” who some are sure come from DU, are Obots and Obama supporters — regardless of all the information that can be secured here from prior postings and ideas from a poster. The so-called “conspiracy” is so widespread, that it (apparently in the minds of the deranged) extends to those who have been conservative all along.

So, in reading that comment quoted above, all this becomes so, so apparent, as to what is going on...

It’s like a car wreck. You keep looking at it, amazed that something can get so twisted, having been apparently “straight” before...

[ ... oh, and by the way (for the conspiracy minded...) I don’t think any of those so-called Obots have come on here, yet... ]
