Mm - Los Vegas Ron - you need to check on that statement, US citizens were allowed in Indonesia in the 80s. Maybe you’re thinking of Pakistan, but there is no evidence that US citizens weren’t allowed; it was difficult, but not disallowed.
What many people wonder is what kind of passport he used for his Paki and other travels at that time.
Well, maybe in the next year, people will get out there and really inform the populace that Barry isn’t “black” - he’s “white and black”. Or even verify that story that he’s more Arabian than black, and if it’s true, get that out there, too. As Obama stops being seen as some Great Black Hope, coupled with a lackluster performance, the time may be right for the courts to hear the case and ‘out’ him as not an NBC...

mlo, are you suggesting the “citizen” and “natural born citizen” are one and the same? Because the definition you replied with was the one for basic citizenship.
Do you feel that the use of “natural born citizen” in the constitution is meant to mean nothing more than “citizen”?

I think you’re comparing apples and oranges. You’re absolutely right, that a child born here of foreign parents is considered a citizen.
But that has nothing to do with the NBC requirement for POTUS.

My understanding is that this TechDude guy has been long discredited - by all sides.
I believe that in the view of mlo, most people and the SCOTUS, a Natural Born Citizen is any person who upon the moment of their birth is a U.S. citizen. Thus, those that are born upon U.S. soil and those born to an American overseas is a Natural Born Citizen. Otherwise, a person who goes through and completes the naturalization process is a Naturalized Citizen.
BTW-Does your U.S. Passport state that you are a Natural Born Citizen?
So in your mind, the fact that NBC is only used in the constitution in reference to POTUS and vice is inconsequential? It doesn’t mean anything that all the other citations just say “citizen”? The two terms, in your mind, are used interchangeably, and it’s just a coincidence that NBC is only used for POTUS, and citizen only for non-POTUS?
Oh, and my passport doesn’t say “NBC” because it’s Indonesian. I’m planning on running for U.S. president. :)
Although - here’s something I just thought of - I have a REAL BC (not a short form missing all the good info), and mine says I was born in Brooklyn, and it also says my parents were born in Brooklyn. Now, why did they care, on MY birthday, where my PARENTS were born.....? Hmmmm.....

Likewise. My REAL BC (the long form, with all the juicy details) says I was born in one of the 50 states, and my parents were born in two other of the 50 states.
You've got it backwards. If someone claims to have a Ph.D., the burden of proof is on him to prove he has one. Or at the very least, provide some basic information (such as his name, the year it was earned, and the institution) that will allow someone else to verify it.

It looks authentic, especially the photos. In addition, the information in it is corroborated by other sources. For example, the Honolulu papers made birth announcements, and those papers have confirmed that they only made announcements when given information from the dept. of health. The doctor who delivered him is on record as having delivered him in Hawaii. There's not a shred of evidence that he was born anywhere else. etc., etc., etc.

Yes, and my FS-240 which was issued by the U.S. Dept. of State states that I was born overseas to U.S. citizens.
My kid’s birth certificates say that they were born in the USA and lists their dad’s place of birth as a foreign country.
Does that mean that my kids are not natural born citizens?
