Phelps was arreted for drunk driving four years ago. He may have already ruined his life in regard to substance abuse.

The Dell guy, who was funny, was dropped right away from the commercials after he was caught with pot. I guess because Phelps is an athlete, he gets more lenient treatment.
Phelps hasn’t ruined anything. He is still a great athlete, with millions in endorsements every year. His sponsors have said that they stand behind him. He is a good kid, who made some bad choices. He has apologized. Some people need to remember what it was like to be young.
Big difference. Drunk driving ought to be a crime. Smoking weed ought to be no one else’s business

I agree, it’s no one’s fault but his own. I doubt he’ll lose any ad deals for this since the target audience isn’t going to punish him for getting caught smoking pot.
