As a sense of crisis engulfed his White House Tuesday with the withdrawal of former senator Tom Daschle as HHS Secretary-nominee, President Obama made an unannounced trip to a school to read to kids.
His motorcade was seen heading north on 15th Street, and local sources soon reported he was at The Capital City Public Charter School. There was no mention of a trip on the schedule sent out to reporters the previous day.
At the school, the president and Michelle Obama read to a group of second-graders in the school library from a picture book entitled "The Moon over Star," an account of the first moon landing in July of 1969. An Associated Press report from the scene said that Obama told the students, "We were just tired of being in the White House."

We don’t insist he wait the whole four years to resign at all. Do LEAVE Barry.
bttt
Interesting title for the book. His first interview is with some muslim guy. The first book he reads to some kids is “Moon over Star” - I wonder if it has the muslim logo on its cover?
Prophetic, thanks for your encouraging post. Yes, maybe God is using this dunce, albeit dangerous dunce, to show us how fragile our country’s future and freedoms are, and that we must not entrust such a great thing to small men like Obama.
I keep praying for our country as well and for our leaders- that they will do what is acceptable in God’s eyes- NOT that they will be successful in all their endeavors, because we know that Man’s endeavors may be strongly opposed to God’s will.
“Pray hard for divine intervention for when 0Bama quits so that the country is not left leaderless and that God will have the perfect person ready for the job.”
Our Constitution already has that perfect person ready for the job - it’s Joe “Stand-up-Chuck” Biden.
Reality has settled in - this is a real job that requires endless, thankless work.
he misses the rock concerts.
Oh, you had to mention THAT. What a fine web of woes we’ve woven, huh?
Obama just thought that the presidency would be like one of those reality T.V. shows. You live there at the location but the situations are always controlled by someone else— George Soros and Move On and the Hollywood Left can only do so much to prop this guy up, though. Obama is just now feeling that he’ll have to stand on his own two legs now & bear some responsibility. He doesn’t like it.
Yep! This is his mission accomplished moment.
George Washington dug up the way he is would be more fit to serve in the White House.
Ann Coulter had a column called “Biden Secret Service Codename: ‘Assassination Insurance’”
First of all - I doubt that he cares all that much about Tiny Tommy - maybe a little - but if he threw the Rev. and his grandma under the bus - what does he care if he throws little Tommy under there too?
Second of all - I’ll cut the guy a little slack for going to his kids’ school and reading to some kids - not for most of the other stuff - but for this - sure.
I’m waiting for the panic attacks.
Anyway, since this bozo has never really held a job, and now he's got the toughest job in the world, and since everyone pretty much made him feel like he was auditioning for a part in a movie or something to be a star, I suspect he's going to get pretty tired of how (insert whiny voice here) hard being president is. I just imagined Obamallamadingdong in about 5 or 6 months (weeks, at this rate?) saying, (whine again) "This is too hard. I don't wanna do this anymore.. I quit."
Wouldn't that be sweet?
I thought he preferred the window entry method?
He might be ready let his Birth Certificate be released.
Good diversion tactic.
There are other people around the world that hide behind children also.
He'd not hesitate to throw a kid under the bus.
Well public reading is his one true skill.
Victims of their own success, get the popcorn cause this is gonna be a double feature.

Geez, why not goto a real public school in DC. Unless there was a favor to be fulfilled?
Charter schools are really private schools underneath it all.
