Those Republicans are so mean-spirited, the Messiah might just be forced to use the clenched fist on them. Wont be his fault, of course. The GOP will have brought this on itself. That was George Stephanopoulos not-so-subtle warning on GMA this morning, as he discussed with Chris Cuomo the fate of the pork stimulus bill, which in a withering column Charles Krauthammer has called a legislative abomination.
CHRIS CUOMO: Can President Obama go to the people? Can he use that as his trump card here?
GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: I think it might be what he has to do, Chris. And were starting to see elements of that just in the last couple days. The presidents gotten much tougher in his speeches. Now the presidents package has actually been losing public support, but the president remains very popular. And to borrow a metaphor from the presidents inaugural address, he might have to replace his open hand with a clenched fist if this bi-partisan agreement doesnt come today.

And the People of America need to greet his 'clenched fist' with a single, upright finger.
He wants to throw a fit and declare "I won!"?...fine.
Let's see him play by himself.
It looks like Hussein my be done being “Mr. Guy Nice”!!
What has continually intrigued me about the Left is their psychological pathology which transfers existential foreign threats on to their internal domestic rivals.
Put simply, American Christian Conservatives are threat constructed as True Intrinsic Evil while Islamist radicals are reduced to disagreeable colleagues.
Stephie is quoting the portion of Obama’s inaugural directed to foreign enemies. Not surprising is Obama’s move of total capitulation on the international scene and desperate attack mode in the domestic scene.
For the Left, Conservatives are the only true enemy.
And does he truly think Americans are too stupid to figure that out?
That means he's either a) a common sociopathic politician, or b) a moronic Mr. Magoo. Neither image is flattering for "The One We Have Been Waiting For."
It’s a black thing....
The skinny little kid from Kenya hasn’t made a fist in his entire life.
Let’s see....last I read, over 50% of the American people are against this bill. Between tax cheats in the cabinet, closing Gitmo, stopping trials, terror pardoners in the Attorney General’s office, if I were Zero, I’d think twice before trying to sell us a pig in a porkulus. We’re not stupid, although this clown probably thinks we are, since he managed to bluff and fool 52% of the voters.
Good luck there, Zero. You can pass this without the Republicans. Own it. You Dems had no trouble being partisan with Bush. We’re just returning the favor. FINALLY.
Clear something up for me: is this the same George Stepalloverus who hosts an ABC News program every Sunday who also has regular strategery chats with Rahm The Gun Grabber Emmanuel?
Every time I hear this jerks name I am reminded that former Republican Congresswoman Susan Molinari was run out of the media when she tried to do a show after she quit congress. The news media said she could not be objective. I hate those SOBs.
I actually speculated at the end of the FinkelBlog column that Carville might have come up with George’s line this morning.
Obama's man at ABC "News".
“And does he truly think Americans are too stupid to figure that out?”
Strptococcus and Rahm prolly are banking on the sheeple still thinkin’ the Republicans are still in control of Congress!
Whoops! left out an “e.”
So Obama tells the Muslim world “we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist....but gives more than half the people of America and duly elected members of congress only his clenched fist.
Thanks, Steffie. By invoking your messiah’s inaugural metaphor, you’re unwittingly useful in the cause of truth. Keep it coming, ya little twink.
Another guy who did not get his @$$ beat enough when he was a kid.
Maybe to his boy friend.
No it is like he is giving America the FINGER!
