I got into an argument one day with a man from work who attended the seminary and wears a Notre Dame jacket. He proudly boasted that he is a Vegan, and wouldn’t dream of eating anything having to do with animals. He wouldn’t even go into the same room where we were having our office Thanksgiving dinner because he couldn’t stand to see the turkey being cut up and eaten after seeing a show about the “inhumane” slaughter of turkeys.

I asked him what did he think about the horrors of killing innocent babies during a partial birth abortion procedure? He didn’t like the question. He said that there were enough spokesmen for the babies, but no one to speak for the poor, defenseless animals. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, but I shouldn’t have been surprised.

If you asked my what movies Ashley Judd was in I couldn’t tell you cause I’ve not seen any of them so I really don’t know who she is but if I were Palin, I would also reply that this fringe group uses Hollywood actors who are supposed to be making movies to help get their political distortions out.

What is her problem? No more movie contracts coming her way? Getting old?

Not enough publicity? Sarah is prettier than her?

Or she is dutifully carrying water for the democratic party, because even democrats pass hunting laws and regulations that allow for the control of wildlife populations and in doing so, help keep wildlife's diseases from spreading to other animals.  And if I remember correctly Ashley Judd said nothing about Blagojevich's hunting legislation of 2003.

Let's just look at it:

“Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich today signed legislation at the Mercer Court House in Aledo allowing establishment of special hunting seasons to help combat wildlife diseases threatening Illinois’ deer herd.”

“Wildlife managers now have another tool to use in battling chronic wasting disease and other wildlife diseases that may pose a threat to our wild deer herd and our state’s long-standing deer hunting tradition,” Blagojevich said at the bill signing outside the County Courthouse.  “As we have seen with the recent spread of other diseases involving native and exotic wildlife, we need laws and regulations that allow us to act quickly to contain them.  This law does that and will help secure the future of deer hunting in Illinois.” link

That's pretty much what Sarah is doing. But the point here is, where was Ashley Judd when one of her Democrat buddies in 2003 was passing laws about killing deer?

Well, it was a state policy that Gov. Palin was defending. That was warranted. She needn’t respond to every jerk that criticizes her wardrobe or her family, etc.

I think that there is something of an underlying threat that women like Sarah Palin pose to the old feminist orthodoxy. Women like Sarah Palin DO have it all and they are not bitter misandrists.

I think you are right, AAC.

That's probably a big part of the underlying problem.

I’m sad to say that America, in the past fifty-five years, has produced a feel-good culture where it is easier to accept a challenge to believe than a challenge to think.
