Not to mention Huge Crossbows as used by the Romans(name escapes me right now but excuse that because I am 67 years old):)Trebuchets are so cool, I would love to have a large one in my yard!:)
The fact is the American Military, as it exists today will not attack the American people, so the weapons for a revolution need not be all that complex. BTW, building an gun equivalent to a Thompson(or actually an M3 Grease gun)isn’t all that hard. A .22 would be the ideal caliber, blow back mechanism, large recoil spring, heavy bolt, a person could probably get about 700 or better rounds per minute from a .22 cal rimfire open bolt sub machine gun!
I just love Mythbusters, I swear they are subliminally teaching America how to get subversive, like an episode on how to make thermite, and how to make a Korean missile launcher that fired hundreds of fireworks at once, similar though crude in comparison to the Metalstorm a person with entry level machine shop skills could make a similar device that would be a box with several hundred tubes for a .22 rimfire, with an insert like a small washer with a pin like a stud loaded atop each round and stacked several dozen I could then have a pressure striker on the top round that would hit hard enough to fire each round starting from the top inwards.
Or do it electrically, it would require some current from a an arc welder and some meticulous machining and wiring, a circuit firing board, I know I could make it work, its possible to make a portable launcher I believe.
The real trick is to either get as much ammo now or get the materials before its outlawed, or or use alternative items.
Will post some in a few days, if you’d like. I’m out of town right now.
No problem. I would like to see them.
ping for later read.
Bet they *really* love those bowling ball mortars I see on YouTube. You can actually hear the finger-holes in the ball whistling on the way up (and down).
We have a guy up here in New Hampshire who made a 60 foot tall trebuche with a 14,000 pound counterweight. It throws pumpkins 2000 feet!
For sheer firepower, .22 rimfire is the way to go. A full auto open bolt would be easy to construct. When I was a kid in LA(Los Angeles)the latinos all had zip guns, which fired .22 cal ammo, they were a steel rod mounted on a piece of wood and with a rubber band and a nail for a firing mechanism. They worked and they killed people. When the gov thinks they can outlaw something and prevent it’s use they are just fooling themselves and the total idiots that make up the majority of voters!
I have always wanted to make a trebuchet, or catapult, either one would do fine! There is something about throwing huge loads hundreds of feet with little effort on the throwers part!

I’ve seen it in person; It’s quite a sight.
A tag line if ever there was one!
You can buy working cannons, in golf ball size calibers and smaller.

check the website.
You are right. Black powder weapons are not restricted. I.E. cannon, muzzle loader rifles, black powder pistols.
“Actual fortifications at which to fling those rocks are sadly in short supply right now, ...”
Ever hear of the NYT building or DNC headquarters?
